Tournament Wrap-Up
If you have paid as much attention to this thread as most of us here, you would know that after delays caused by a dear friend named Sandy and multiple scheduling conflicts the final 1v1 Smackdown match ups have been played and a victor has arisen from the mists of carnage and chaos.
This final bout for the Halo 4 Gold placed defending champ Shanon against the rising challenger WARHOLIC. Both worked their ways up the tournament brackets until the paths of these two colossal figures crossed in a battle of epic proportions.
I may be summarizing that a little dramatically, but I like to think it happened similarly. The winner was decided from a best out of five match-up, but it only took four games before the champion was crowned.
So who is this mysterious champion, you ask?
Well, lady and gentlemen, back again after rocking the Conflict Tournament is none other than our reigning 1v1 champion Shanon to claim yet another lone wolf victory! So enjoy the spoils good sir. That shiny new Halo 4 disc is winging its way to you in time for release day this Tuesday November 6th.
A special shout-out goes to WARHOLIC today though. He literally battled a hurricane to be able to take part in this and his clear unwillingness to forfeit in the face of a natural disaster is enough to warrant congratulation in and of itself. So be sure to head on over and thank him for taking part in this competition and making this final battle as sought for as it was.
Thanks for a great final round guys. We hope to see you in our next tournament.
The Maps
Smackdown boasted a wide array of maps for our contestants to battle on. Each and every single one of them was fashioned lovingly, specifically for this tournament.
Were it not for the brilliant forgers who put together these maps this tournament could not have happened. So take a moment to look at these maps and bask in their majesty. After that have a nice word with the authors and extend to them the same gratitude that I have.
