Custom Costume Contest!

Hey there, ladies and gents. Gather 'round our campfire on this cold October night, and let me spin you a tale, a yarn you might say, of a special time, our favorite holiday. On all hallow's eve, every year, we gather together to celebrate dark and wonderful things. We have feasts and dances; the grandest of balls wouldn't do to celebrate the macabre: our new god, our idol. And what an idol she is, the macabre. She is the darkness in mans own heart. She calls to us, and she tells us to seek out the things that go bump into the night, to become the things our better nature tells us to fear. In a glorious revelry we embody our own fears. We make peace with our inner demons, as we adorn our bodies with symbols of them; we strike out at the world with these demons. We drink deep from the chalice of decay and fear and human peril, and we become strong. We feel alive.

Nah, I'm just shitting you. We all know what Halloween is about. It's about finding some cool liquid refreshment (if you catch my drift), hanging out with some friends, stealing candy from children, and chasing after that cute girl in the bat-girl outfit. And what's one of our favorite parts of Halloween? The costumes! Dressing up as a hilarious man in a banana suit, or a terrifying monster, we love it all. And so, here we are, trying to bring a little bit of that fun to good 'ole ForgeHub.

We're having a ForgeHub Costume Contest!

What did this weirdo say, again?

Exactly what I said, and don't call me a weirdo! This isn't just any boring old contest you might see, this is the freaking shut up and dance of contests. This contest is basically the equivalent of Batman. Awesome, right? I know.

But on to the more important stuff. This contest is for the members of our site to create a costume that they think is funny, awesome, scary, or just weird, and enter it for a chance to win fame and glory. Well, maybe not fame and glory, but some pretty cool stuff anyway. Basically, you'll set about creating awesome costumes, then you'll post a picture of you wearing it here in this thread (hopefully in spoiler tags, to keep things nice and neat). After the deadline has ended we'll collect all the costumes and let you guys vote on which ones you think are the most deserving of the win. The top three costumes will get a mention on the front page, and the number one spot will win himself a nifty little prize.

If you have any questions about the rules and they aren't answered below, feel free to contact me, RightSideTheory.

Contest Rules

  • All costume pictures must be in by the 1st of November.

  • All costumes should be of the owners own design. Buying a costume off of a shelf and unboxing it probably won't put you very far ahead.

  • Keep everything PG-13. This should go without explaining.

  • All pictures should be posted in this thread, in spoiler tags.

  • General silliness, tomfoolery, mischief, horseplay, and displays of deep and undying love are encouraged.

Prizes

1st Place: Enjoy your time in the limelight! You'll have earned yourself a shiny new (contest specific) custom title for your efforts, alongside being mentioned on the front page in a site update. And, of course, the praise and adoration of all your fans.

2nd and 3rd Place: Congratulations on your wins! You'll also get your mention on the front page. Braggin' rights are just a given, though. So enjoy those.
