Spectre is a symmetric map which supports a good lot of standard competitive gametypes, from varying variants of capture the flag to assault, all the way down to many a handful of slayer gametypes such as Elite Slayer, Bro Slayer, Snipers, and of course standard Slayer, slayer.

Coming in second by a deficit of merely one vote is Erupt's map Ebalere. Ebalere is a 2v2 map set within a building with a natural environment. While it is worth noting the unique aesthetic choices Erupt has put into place in and around this map, the gameplay is what shines on this piece in my humble opinion. The unique design dictates interesting engagements with your fellow players, keeping you on your feet at all times. Ebalere is a definite download for any 1v1/2v2 enthusiasts.

Don't let the date of which this map was originally posted to our forums--December 1st, 2011--fool you, this infection map is a definite download for anyone craving some deliciously infectious custom games. Boasting many well crafted aesthetic cues (my personal favorite being the elevated mine cart and tracks; upon loading the map not a single doubt will be humoured regarding the theme of which this map is set in. As the title suggests, this map is located in a mine. Fear not, however, this map plays a mean game of Holdout. Grab some friends and load her up! You won't regret it!
