Welcome back! To an exciting new episode of Forge Hub Shenaniganary!
On this episode we'll discover just what it takes to become the most popular forger ever; we'll learn the science behind the blogs section of the website and why people continue to think that their blog will get serious comments; and of course we'll try to uncover the age-old question: if one of those paper-thin trees on the far ridge of Forge World were to fall, and no one was around to hear it, would it make a noise?
Only important things to cover this time around in our site update! Oh, I'm told there will be a literal site update in the near future as well. I'll let you know more when I know more.
Fileshares return!Fileshares are back and better than ever! Bungie Pro is a thing of the past, anyone with a gold subscription to Xbox Live now has access to a brand-new, twenty-five-slot fileshare via 343 Industries. Pretty neat right?
With that, our map forums have been reopened and are awaiting that sexy new map that you were working on during the downtime. Remember, we do have map posting rules, it's not a free-for-all in there. (See what I did there? Free-for-all, like the gamemode in our beloved Halo games).
The Guild
Let's face it. You like Halo. We all like Halo here at Forge Hub. Who'd have thought it? Anyway, the guilds here on our forums are home to many members who wish to actively contribute to the community as a whole. Interested? Thought so. You should be.
There are currently two subsections within the guild as a whole.
The Testers Guild
Built a tasty map but can't get the numbers together to properly stress test that beast? The Testers Guild gets around the problem by offering up a dedicated group of testers who'll check your map out and leave you some feedback afterwards. It's a really good way to get constructive criticism and a variety of opinions on your work. You can also take part yourself, and start on the path to becoming a fully fledged member of The Testers Guild yourself.
The Customs Lobby
Simple, effective and does exactly what you expect - brings people together to play customs. Browse through the list of upcoming games for one that you like the sound of, or if you've got an idea for a game night yourself, fill out the details and let everyone know!
But wait! There's more! Working within the guild gives you a chance to make your way into one of our coveted blue ranks! Read over the requirements for your blue here and here.
TGIF Custom Game NightSo, are you down for some wild custom games? Yes? Good. Every other Friday we host a lil' somethin' called TGIF, which contrary to popular belief, does not stand for "Thank Goodness It's Friday". It actually is much more Halo related, shocking right? "Thank Goodness It's Forge-day"! During which members of our forum open up their lobbies for exciting nights of competitive or casual play. If you would like to join our members this coming Friday, look out for the next article and simply choose which lobby you'd like to join.
Prospective TGIF hosts: Copy the form below, fill in your details and PM it to Shock Theta as soon as you can.

Q of the SULast month, Shock Theta asked:
A question for this time then! We've seen a few different day one unlocks for armour designs recently, depending on the store you pre-order Halo 4 from. If you were working for 343i and were given an armour set to skin up, what would your design be? Bonus points for crudely drawn examples with MS Paint. Double points for actual drawings. Commence!
Clearly this response is a winner! Why you ask? Because it has Chuck Norris on it? Nah. Because it kitties, of course!!
Great work FrozenGoathead.
This time around I ask, if you could have Steve Downes say one sentence, what would you have him say?
