I don't know how the weather has been where you folks are from, but here in Michigan we have had the most beautiful weather I can ever remember for this time of year! If you're having similar weather be sure to go out and enjoy it while you can, I sure wish that I could. Instead, I'm trapped inside doing a combination of writing this for you, distracting myself in various outlets of the internet, and homework in general. I've got a speech and an exam that I have to take tomorrow that is completely ruining this beautiful day for me. That being said, I am going to keep this short and sweet, I've got stuff and things and things and stuff that need attending!

The Library! If you haven't already submitted your map into our Library forum, please do so soon! The deadline for submissions are this week. If you have a map that you wish to get into matchmaking this here is your ticket to do so! It's not a guarantee, don't get me wrong, but your submission will be directly looked at by those in charge of creating the playlists!

For more information about The Library, please see this thread here.

Wonders of the World II Results!...Are coming, we promise. Sit tight and you'll see them soon enough, my friends! Here again are our entrants who are patiently waiting to hear the results. Also take note that Sky has been properly credited. ;)

[ The above list is in chronological order, it in no way reflects the results of the contest. ]

If you haven't already dropped by their threads and gandered at their amazing work, do so now! I'm sure they would appreciate it!

The Guild:

Let's face it. You like Halo. We all like Halo here at Forge Hub. Who'd have thought it? Anyway, the guilds here on our forums are home to many members who wish to actively contribute to the community as a whole. Interested? Thought so. You should be.

There are currently two subsections within the guild as a whole: The Tester's Guild and the Custom's Lobby. The Tester's Guild sets out to take your beta-phased maps and play them repeatedly looking for both excellence and eye-sores. If you've submitted your map here already, or are interested, don't take bad criticism personally. Take them in stride, and consider the feedback into your overall design. The Custom's Lobby is associated with our bi-weekly front page TGIF articles. If you enjoy playing Halo with a group of friends and are an aspiring writer, you should look into this side of the guild, you'll probably enjoy it.

But wait! There's more! Working within the guild gives you a chance to make your way into one of our coveted blue ranks! Read over the requirements for your blue here and here.

TGIF hosts, please PM Pegasi with the template below filled out in order to get your lobby on the sign up page!

TGIF Recaps

Apologies to you guys for not having a Recap article out on Wednesday, a couple of hosts couldn't make it for various reasons, but we did get two solid recaps in the end and it'd be a shame for them to go unseen. Thanks to Redy and Confused Flamingo.

Redy's recap

So, yeah people! This time I came into Xbox LIVE exactly at the moment, and the Lobby start at 1:30 EST! (In advantage with the special presence of REMkings online, he was the first one to join us! ;D) Me and Rem invited a lot of friends who were online, and we start the friday fun ~~~~~ ^o^ . I decide to perform a 4v4 action so, a One Flag CTF test in the last Sustenance version would be perfect, occasionally I selected the wrong gametype, but we rolled in the same way. XD The game was actually really enjoying, and same to the Blue Team (they had to fight unfairly, because the red team had just one more guy) Yeah, 4v5. I think that was Zatherla by the way... *

Wow, that was soo close Rem. XD It formed an isosceles triangle.

Before that, we played in some Infection maps, provided by Rem and Ticky, that was awesome too, we had an increase of people in the middle of the action gameplay. At least, some great people from BIOC shows up. (That´s the best Infection community out *there guys, you should check it!!! ;D) The map´s name was "Endangered Estate", really cool, people stay out in a giant Mansion and Stuff. The attic part was interesting to camp, and I was able to get a snack in some bread that was by my side on the couch. And.... Yaeh! :-D I was back again, Rem took some gameplay footage to his Map: "Lone Souls in a Lost Mine" too... and the Specific Gametype to play in. But he needed to go out later. :(*

We get 16 guys and we played in a Hocket Hog Race Track before, the name of the map is "Galaxy", and plays really well! I advise you to download it, pretty awesome! ^ ^

And Yeah guys, we finish the lobby with some BTB Tested maps. Hope you all enjoyed it, See Ya next time Folks! And we greatly appreciate the test map section, hope you all had a excellent Feedback. ;D

Confused Flamingo's recap

Hullo, all! I bet that all three (four, perhaps?) of you faithful readers are just outright bothered that I haven’t taken any screenshots! Well, there is QUITE the funny story behind that. I woke up with a start this morning, smashing my head and jittering my consciousness. Upon impact with the ceiling, I saw many things. A duck sailed past my right ear as four Spanish hens congregated near my left flank. A doorknob dripping of walrus fat danced with a red cow made up entirely of smaller blue cows that were not too happy to be included in my delusion. I was greeted to this dreamy lapse of awareness by both a hat without a brim, and a brim without a hat! They told me in sonorous harmony that I was forgetting to write my tgif recap. I told them that I would produce not one tail end of a rodent, not one! The hat began to bark like a seal, at intervals which I could not predict aahrping like a camel. The frustrated young brim, on the other hand, warned me quietly, using the hushed tone that all floating hat brims speak in, that I could not deviate from my mirage without a certificate of participation. It then ceremoniously displayed a sheet of tan parchment marked with a large red “A for effort!” I quickly commented that for A to be “for” effort (mostly likely through the usage of abbreviation), it would have to be spelled “affort” and that the newfound emphasis on the second vowel would create what appeared to be an entirely new word: Ahf-ORT. I quietly pondered this, trying to imagine what such a word would mean, as the brim suddenly became red in its brim. It then joined in its brother’s clamor, uttering the sounds of animals I didn’t know existed. I wondered if they might in fact be the sounds of plants, which humans are unable to recognize. Would it not be nice to talk to plants? I could tell them all about my adventures, my failings, my most inner private thoughts! And they too could confide in me the secrets of planthood! Oh, we’d have quite the jolly time. At some point in my mental tangent, the brim and the hat exploded into green and pink fire that licked at my arms, singing what little hair I had growing. I told myself that I’d be fine. After all, how horrible could such an interestingly nonsensical mirage really be?
*
After dying at the hands of giant fluorescent chameleons well beyond the twelve kill limit they promised me, having sexual relations with a number of the letters of the alphabet and not once receiving a call the next morning, and being haunted by a crazed bell pepper that wore Hermes-esque sandals along with a cape consisting of illustrated diagrams depicting each and every way a crazed bell pepper wearing Hermes-esque sandals can kill you, I am sitting at a computer, chipping away at the recap I so desperately need to complete. I’m dreadfully sorry that I can include no puns, pen-based or otherwise, due to the fact that my monitor is quickly becoming a 5 by 9 block of puppy. I long to be free of this nightmarish strained reality, and am making haste in producing a quality recap. But I had tested the strings, and the hats and hat accessories of fate for too long, and they have deleted the films from my hard drive. Alas, I can only hope that my recap with be otherwise sufficient enough to release me from my illusion!
*
I can only hope.
*
There aren’t any pictures
*
There is, however, gameplay. I don’t remember exactly how long the lobby went on for; I lost track at five hours. I’m certain everyone had a hell of a time, for the first portion of the night passed with no complaints. There were no lobby merges and no ridiculous tests, just a handful of new guys and a few old friends spamming A on the “start game” button. We leapt from skyrise to skyrise at TC Tower, discovered startling secrets on The Estate and ogled at Flamingo and Broccolipie’s awful forging in the Arhis Hall. The killer’s murderous, vengeful soul shifted between us periodically, and we all felt its icy grip at least once. And while some of us were more…strongly possessed than others, every game was a blast in itself. And I think that that’s my favorite part of Clue: it never gets old!
*
Thank you all for participating, whether you attended, held your own lobby, or simply read. I hope you’re as happy as I am to see my soul freed from those demonic flying articles of headwear.

Community AwesomenessHave you stopped into our Graphic Design and Art forum yet? I linked to it last week, so you should have by now! If you haven't, I understand, you're far too busy working on your Library submission. Anyway, here is another fun little outlet within the GDnA subforum of our wonderful little notch in the internet.

Forge Hub's own RightSideTheory is bringing us back into the swing of things regarding our Official Sig of the Week contest! Our winner from last term is ER1CO for this entree:

RST asked me to inform all of you that you should all compete and/or vote in Week 75 of our Sig of the Week contest which just opened up earlier today! If you're an expert of the field or the first time you opened up a graphic editing program was last week, you are invited to participate! After all, I hear that those who do commonly participate give great advice upon how to improve your techniques.

[ If you would like a blurb in the next site update, please PM me with a thread link and reason why you wish to advertise. Each submission may be discarded upon my own discretion. ]

QOTSULast week I asked you to craft me a wonderful drawing.

This week we're drawing! Using only MS PAINT or a comparable program or tool, draw me your best representation of a character from the Halo series. GO!

I think we can all agree that Miraj did a wonderful job with his entree. However, it is arguable that he had an advantage by using his tablet. For us technologically impaired users I think the winner would have to go to FrozenGoathead--The only other entrant! Good work, sir.

Now that the weather is starting to pick up (at least here in the US), I simply ask: what is your favorite outdoor activity?

Mine would have to be biking or longboarding. Or simply just being outside wandering. Always a good feeling. :)

If you have any thoughts on this article, or the front page in general, that you would like to share with us then we invite you to post your opinions in the Front Page Feedback thread.
