Me? Doing a Forge Hub Favorites article? A week ago, I would've laughed had somebody tried to tell me that, then promptly returned to watching cultimorphized cartoon shows originally intended for a much younger audience. Instead, I caught myself having to fabricate a lovely story capable of breaking your will, forcing you to download these maps, utilizing nothing more than the silver wordplay of my forefathers. Or something.

But then, I looked at the maps. They were cool. I couldn't pass up this opportunity, not now. Did I mention that these maps were cool? Because they are. We have the equivalent of crush-the-castle-meets-darts topping of an Arena of Death remake and... whatever it is that Longshot does!

Yeah, I got nothin'. Have some awesome Community Favorites!

Hoglaunch by Nutduster

Oh look, a map I played once! I can write about this!

You know what the best description of this map is? It's a hypothetical moment; imagine in your head that you are a Spartan, that you are Noble Six. Now, get in a warthog... and TAKE OFF! The surprise of the sudden explosion, the kinetic surge of motion, the randomness of suddenly being airborne despite most definitely not being a flight-capable animal! All of this is more than enough to startle you into wetting yourself, and you'll certainly have to dust off your nuts, so to speak, each time your 'hog gets launched.

Of course, you could decide to play defense and try to stop your opponents launch from scoring big, but seriously? You do not want to travel through the air? You have never wondered what it was like to be on the RIGHT side of a catapult? You are boring!

Caia by iTzLongshot

I have no clue what to write for this map. Its like, a 1v1/2v2 map that was created by iTss Longshot. Its got a really cool sand floor, some neat doors, a bunch of aesthetics, weapons placed all around in an attempt to make a balanced and fun game. Or something. Guys, help me please? Should I write about how good it looks? Maybe, instead, I should do a little paragraph on how well done the balancing is, or the gameplay that benefits from said balance? Eh, I dunno, I guess I'll just leave you with this; the map is damn cool.

Arena of Death by WALDO the lemon

This map seems to be a monument to all of those things we do only every now and then; Quake, 1v1, Waldo, incredibly poorly written innuendo, and so on. However, being possibly the most well-adapted quake remake that I have seen to this day, the map deserves mucho-praise. Mucho being, like, mexican for a butt-ton of. I think.

I dunno, just check it out. Waldo created something totally sweet for our FTII contest, and even if it didn't win, its definitely worthy of great praise.
