♥ Sky's Recap
TGIF number 2 done and dusted. I even managed to get some decent games in.
The purpose of my TGIF parties is to get maps posted in the Testers Guild tested and this week was by far the best week so far.
So first and foremost I'd like to thank all of those who came and played with me and my fellow hosts, I hope to see you again.
So we started off with just a few people, then it escalated into my first proper TGIF, with quite a few people turning up and playing!
First of was FFA Slayer on Shrine by Wertles. We found this map to be very camper-friendly and the outer walkways seemed to dominate over the lower areas and the exposed middle.
Next up was a game of Team DMRs on Turbine by Timmypanic. This was quite a different map to the last, as the central area seemed to dominate more than some of the lower areas.
It was also much more open and was designed for more players than the last map. It also suffered from some framerate lag but the aesthetics of the map made up for it.
Then we played a game of invasion on Redy's map, Mechprime. Well "played" isn't the proper word for it.
It had some amazing potential, but sadly the first phase was very broken so we only managed to get a couple of minutes each way.
Then we played a big team map. Amaterasu by MythicFritz.
We were going to play a couple of games, but we only managed to get one in, the other two were both plagued blackscreen issues, probably due to my annoying NAT settings.
Finally, we played on Delirium by BloodRedd. I really enjoyed playing on this map and appart from a few issues with the layout and flow, it was a fairly solid map.
Special thanks to Berb for letting me hijack his party to play this map.
We quicky got through quite a few maps and after a while I ran out of maps to test, so we played pass the leader and tested some other maps that weren't in the TG, but needed testing anyway.
So thats my recap over, thanks again to all those who turned up. See you next time, I promise to fix my connection.
Shameless advert: Come and join the Testers Guild if you want to help out the community and test some amazing maps.
If you don't want to join, but do need some maps testing, go and post them in the Testers Guild and we will try and get a game or two in on them to help you out.

Berb's Recap
Well, TGIF 32 was pretty eventful, if I recall correctly. Even with only the three of us out there (me, Sky, and Tutui), we kept the masses happy (except for Flamingo) for most of the night.
I started my night off in someone else's custom lobby as a matter of fact, playing some Tempest map made by I think one of our staff members. The map was alright, but i'm not going to go into specifics. All I can say, is that the rest of my team didn't do so well.
But anyway, after a couple games on this Tempest map, I took control of the full lobby and claimed it to be my own. Instead of starting with my normal Hogs from Heck game, I thought we'd start with something better suited for 16 players. So we played some Cat n' Mouse. If you haven't played it before, it's a very simple and fun game for any custom lobby. All you have to do is:
Get in a wraith.
Crush the people in ghosts my crashing into them
The people in Ghosts just have to stay alive. Here's a little snapshot from the game:
We did actually play a game on Hogs from Heck not long after that actually.
We also, thanks to Sky, managed to help out our fellow TRC branch, the Tester's Guild. Testing some of the maps (mine included) can hopefully get the TRC back on track. I'm sure he's posted the feedback by now, so you guys should go check that out. I think he may have done some more testing before I even got online, so let's give a round of applause to him.
During my lobbies, trying to move from minigames to competitive is always a challenge because, many of the TGIF participants aren't necessarily there for gametypes they can play in MM. So every week, I'm either more competitive or more casual, because finding an equal balance is hard. Last week was a casual week, in my opinion. I did however manage to squeeze in some more harder core stuff like Invasion on Hushed as show below.
Some other things:
After my lobby, I dropped in on Tutui's session for a few games, then left to go watch some LazyTown and sleep. And that's it.
Tutui99's Recap
I'm back, baby!
I finally managed to get my game back on after a few fridays of downtime, and I had an excellent lobby goin on friday. It started out rough, with only a few people playing some small-scale minigames like hogs from heck, but later into the night it grew into a full blown tutuifest bonanza fiesta de la AWESOME!
We played (by request) mostly my maps, including a new map I've recently finished beta on. As you may remember from last TGIF, It is an infection map called Fegelbunker. Humans hold out in the bunker, while zombies come in through various entrances. It is also (to my knowledge) the only "regular" infection map that gives zombies weapons, mongeese, warthogs, and a scorpion. Due to popular demand, this will be a regular map in my lobbies from now on.
Tank time!

We were then graced by the presence of the Berb, who joined our lobby for a few games. I owned (a lot) in some Left 4 Dead, and then Berb left. Guess I was just too good for his taste.
No-one likes a shotgun to the face... Specially Berb.
The last game we (or rather I) played was Braven's new map, Quarentine. In it, zombies run around invisible with gator rifles and hammers, while humans mow them down with Gauss hogs. LOADS of fun.
If you look closely, you can see 10 invisible zombies. If someone finds them all, they get a cookie.
After that game, I had to leave the lobby in the capable hands of Braven, and go to sleep.
So that's all folks, and see y'all next week!

Sorry, no FegelBunker. It is not finished. It will be finalized for next TGIF, though!
