Well my TGIF party didn't go as planned. Sorry for anyone who specifically wanted to join my party, but my Friday turned into a mess and I was barely able to host. For the majority of the time I was in BT's party with anyone who followed me there. I was more constrained for time than I planned and so I had to leave early.
For the time I did play however we had quite a bit of fun. We played several different clue maps and quite a few enjoyable games on each one. Not to brag, but I won three games in a row, which I am pretty proud of :D. I also played a bit of slayer and a few of Darth's minigames. Once again very sorry too anyone who wanted in but couldn't because I either wasn't on or my party was full, I'll try to have everything sorted out next time.
TGIF recap for January 20th - Last Friday had a very strange round of TGIF parties on it. Let me start by explaining (to the best of my knowledge) what happened:
5:30 pm EST - BT starts his clue TGIF lobby. Due to undetermined reasons, hosts Xyl007, SkybladePheonix and Cryptokid decide to merge in.
6:00 pm EST - I get on to start up my lobby only to see nearly every other host in one group. I feel a little odd, but move on.
6:10 pm EST - Due to lack of players, host Tutui decides that merging into my lobby would be the right move to make.
approx. 9:00 pm EST - After strange incident broke my party, I decide to join BLT Tasty's party. After a couple games with the most annoying group of sugar-hyper little kids, I took lead. Now I do want to note that I don't ask to be the group leader, I reluctantly accept the position when it is thrust upon me.
approx. 11:00 pm EST - I gracefully retreat to the forge after over 5 hours of fun.
Well I think that helps clear things up a little bit.
I essentially started my lobby with only six people, so the first game we played was a game on Hogs from Heck. After that, I always play a game on my customized 3v3 Landslide (shown below)This is the map Landslide by Darth Human. It is a newer, difficult, update to his original Avalanche map. You see, instead of just balls flying at you, there are vehicles and crates too. I play it with an 8 minute time limit with a score of 5 to win.
Oh, and this. Something weird happened and I left ForgeWorld forever.
Not long after the game on Landslide where we had around 10 players, I put on a fairly newer infection map called Pandora's Fear made by Elliot. The map has actually been featured here on ForgeHub and won the 3rd prize for Hub of the Dead contest back in October (?). I actually really enjoy this infection map even though it uses the basic zombie gametypes. It applies a basic aesthetic design, uses a simple zombie spawning system and is fun for both sides of the survival. Well, let me provide some visual aid:
This is - Pandora's Fear
And This is - me shitting on Tutui's face with a shotgun.
Well, as you may have known if you have attended the past two times, our dear friend Jerico from the other week did not make a return last friday. I think maybe he no he's either scared or has a personal vendetta with my lobby. I really hope he doesn't turn out like most Batman villains and becomes hell-bent on destroying me and the loyal few who attend my lobbies. You know, I never actually checked if he has an account on ForgeHub. For all I know, he could be reading this and plotting. What we did have later on was this one douche who did nothing but trash and talk shit about everything and everyone. Can you guess if I kicked him or not?
Anyway, we did some good tests this TGIF. We tested stuff like:
Tutui's Fegelbunker - I am the ultimate master at breaking this map. From there, I can basically crap on the zombies when they come running up to me. Through my constant breaking of the map, I am forcing Tutui to refine it.
FrozenGoatBall - Pretty much a paintball arena. Needs to be a bit bigger.
Revival by Robot Artist - Yeah... You pretty much had to be there... All I can say is 16 players on a 5v5 map...
Stone by Soul Slasher - I love Stone. It has, without a doubt, the sexiest looking cave iv'e ever seen. (Insert "ur mom's cave" joke here)
Spectre by Pyro - I didn't get much of an opportunity to play on Spectre because I had to go AFK for a short period during play. What I witnessed though looked pretty boss.
Convent by yours truly - It's a new Invasion project I have been working on over the past 4 to 5 weeks. It has surprisingly been coming along very well and coincidentally I have some action shots to share.
The rocket warthog being blown up by a couple rowdy elites.

My lucky long-range plasma grenade stick to win the third-phase defensive in overtime. I felt pretty proud of myself. And that's all folks! I'd like to show my appreciation for all the people who showed up, and all the other hosts, even if some of us had a hard night. You guys are awesome!
*tips hat*
If at first you don't succeed, than you failed. Am I right? Dut if you planned to fail... did you succeed in failing, therefore failing AND succeeding? Or did you fail TO succeed? or fail to succeed? With that in mind... I bring you...
Tgif 31 recap
To sum everything up? I basically didn't host. I log on, all ready to send out invites when Berb starts begging me to merge with his lobby to get him more people. Being the lovable, generous chump that I am, I joined him, and we had a wonderfull lobby throughout the evening. Hosted by Berb. He even made me wait in line for map testing. Note to self: when Berb asks to merge, he means: "Can I steal your party?"
;)Anyway, t'was a swell ol' time. I began beta testing of my first ever Infection map, Fegelbunker. I soon realized that no matter how hard I try to keep the humans in the bunker, Berb always breaks the map. He made it his lifelong goal to break it. But I accept the challange- it will be unbreakable, Berb!
And then the party fell apart. Berb went AFK, and we all went to BLT tasty's lobby. Then berb came back and promptly stole host from BLT. Sigh. Still, we had a great time playing minigames and invasion.
And then THAT lobby fell apart. so I was finally hosting on my own!!... with three people. we palyed maybe 2 more games of crash-up derby and speed, all the while having a very powerfull debate about the meaning of life. I then packed it in and went to bed.
Well thats it! sorry about the lack of DL links and pics, but I forgot that temporary history deletes if you play a different game. Check out Berb's and BLT's recaps, Im sure they have the proper DL links. And now... Back to exams...
See ya'll next Friday!
Hello Everyone! Our fun machine worked better than Carnot, and 100% yield! Once I came into my Reach lobby I made sure to invite all online, optimal result, Thanks to all who attended! So, I put my newest InVaSiOn Map series, resulting in splendid explosions, All in all my party was just overall better than last time, and of course, much more nomsense :S
There was a lot of competitive oriented games this time around, We also played race on Forerunner Rally and V.I.P assault. But, in the lobby, Black Theorem sent me a invitation to his Clue lobby, so I thought: wOW, i kNoW tHaT gUy iN tHe foRuM!, then I promote some randon guy and accepted the message, when I got there, I saw that play "Clue" was not quite what I wanted, so I returned to my TGIF and played "Ice Cream Man" with more nonsense things and everyone gets thinking as: "WhAt ThE bUllShi*"?! but all was well again ...when I promote a few guys, people were coming out too, so I invited more peeps too =p and so on ...OK, let the pictures out maniac!!!
Hey everyone! It's been a while since I did a TGIF, and it really was nice coming back into the game. My lobby grew rather fast to a sturdy average of around 12 people. I gotta say, the lobby was short, but it was pretty damn fun! My lobby grew and played some games like Stealin' Your Flags, Secret Recipe (on the Krusty Krab), and Malum Inferni on NightLife. With a large lobby, the games played really well, but it seemed that not everyone knew their way around an infection journey map. The games were hectic and quite some fun. The lobby spanned around two hours pretty fast, and I dropped the lobby around the third hour. After, I'd assume, Tutui and Berb had finished their lobbies (correct me if I'm wrong), they came to mine, where we played a game or two before I passed leader over to Berb after his disapproval of my lack of competitive games *sad face*. The party died around the second hour and was revived after the arrival of the other two hosts, who brought quite a congregation over to my party. That about sums up my recap, but onto the action shots, shall we? I'm no HUGE fan of competitive games in customs, but if it ends up being fun, I can get really into the game and trying to keep the other team off the flag in CTF or core in Invasion. Secret Recipe on the Krusty Krab is a prime example of large, hectic, objective games:
Though not the most hectic picture, You gotta say it would be nice to see an 8v8 scrimmage inside the interior of the Krusty Krab.
I started off as a hater to these kinds of infection games where you had to travel around the map, I soon became a giant fan of them and love playing them.
Pretty self-explanatory. This map's been getting alot of buzz in my opinion.
Well guys, there's my recap! I hope you enjoyed the recap and enjoyed being in my lobby if you were there! See you guys next TGIF!
