Hello, Forge Hub, and welcome to Sunday! With Sunday comes relaxation, reflection, preparation for the new week, and of course, the Site Update here on Forge Hub! Obviously, that last little bit is the most important aspect of this day for every last one of you. I mean, who needs family and friends when you can be up-to-date with all of the happenings here on good ol' Forge Hub? We've got a bit more content to cover this week, so let's end this introductory banter and dive right in! Shall we?

Departures
For as long as I have been a member on this website, I can remember two names always being there in the background. Upholding our rules of the site and infracting those who don't follow them. Adelyss and Mickraider have literally been moderators for as long as I remember. I actually have a hard time believing that they are no longer moderators here. Regardless, please thank these two for all of their time here. Forge Hub would be a different place without all of the work they've put forward.
Arrivals
In this section today we also have two members, one of which is a first-time staffer and one who just can't seem to make up his mind. ThrowinDemBows: some of you may know him as the creator of many big team battle styled maps. Well, he has officially jumped on ship with us Journalists mainly due to his participation in the Halo community--something a good percentage of the staff lately does not have. Keep a look out for content from Mr. Bows!
And then there is Stevo. Stevo has been with us before, and he's officially back. Be on the lookout for front page content from his as well!
Modifications
Shad0w Viper is now officially part of the Event Coordinator rank! While it was hidden from all of you, he's been in this rank since when he first came back on staff as a "Journalist". He's responsible for competition ideas as well as getting us Journalists in line to publish the right contest related content at the right time.
A noteworthy thing regarding Nibs, Nibbles, NexogeN, is that we peer-pressured him into changing his name back to NIBBS!
Applications!
Transactionzero has a request for you, our dedicated community. As you may have noticed, with Adelyss and Mickraider stepping down from their moderator positions, our moderation team's numbers are a bit low. Would you like to help moderate our forums? This application is open to everyone, from first day members to old Hub Pub veterans.
Your message should be one or two paragraphs explaining in profuse detail why you are the right fit for the job. Please take this seriously.
Guardians: You are encouraged to apply as well.
Trolls: You are not. Any "troll" applications will result in being banned.
Best of Forge
If you're new to Forge Hub and have never heard of our Best of Forge contest, this paragraph here should catch you up to speed. Best of Forge (often referred to around the site as BoF), is a bi-yearly (twice a year, not once every two years) event in which the community nominates the best maps from the previous six months. Any kind of map is fair game. If it was created within the time period dictated by the contest then it has a chance of winning. Of course, as with any competition, there are rules:
Your Nomination must include the map name, a link to the Forge Hub thread and one reason for your nomination
The map must be posted on Forge Hub
The map must have been created between September 14th, 2010 and December 31st, 2011
You may NOT nominate your own map
You may NOT create duplicate accounts to nominate maps, you will be permabanned
No discussion to be had in nominate threads. Spam or non-serious nominations will be infracted. This includes comparing your nomination to another map.
We reserve the right to remove your nominate for breaking any of the above rules, or the rules of the site.

Foreign Treasures II
I hope you haven't forgotten about our Foreign Treasures II contest--we sure haven't. The original Foreign Treasures contest was held back in the days of Good ol' Halo 3--a time when "interlocking" and "geo-merging" were present in the posts of us members more often than any actual criticisms were. The contest asked those who participated to create a recreation of a map from various other shooter titles, and that's just what Foreign Treasures II has done as well.
For full details on the contest, please view the original thread here. If you're already well aware of the specifics, but have sat your map on the back burner waiting for some inspiration, you may want to pick it up soon, the deadline will be here in just two weeks!

If you're new here and would like to help contribute to our community, maybe the Tester's Guild or Custom's Lobby is the place for you! If you log enough hours, you may just find yourself in a brand new rank! With this rank come the prestige of holding color on our forums, along with the added benefit of being able to access a few hidden forums.
