Forge Hub Favorites 30

My dear friends, I apologize about this edition of Forge Hub Favorites coming out a few days late--real life stuck it's face in my face, hindering my ability to get to our corner of the Internet. Regardless, the results are in!

This round of voting we had quite a bit more variety than we have seen in quite some time! Two competitive maps; one being a 1v1, and one being a 4v4; a mini-game, a racetrack, and a puzzle! With all of these options one could only wish for multiple votes. Unfortunately though, we are cruel--we force you to sit, staring at your monitor for hours attempting to make your decision. As tough as it was for you, you've delivered.

Platypus by Confused Flamingo

Coming in first place for Forge Hub Favorites XXX is none other than Platypus by our Tester's Guild Associate, Confused Flamingo. Platypus is an "experimental" work, as he has platyput it: boasting interesting concepts of cover and unique aesthetic cues throughout this multileveled map. Flamingo has put a lot of time and effort into Platypus; mentioning that he had almost forgot about his creation at one point.

Be sure to grab a friend and go head to head on Platypus, it's a very unique 1v1 play-space.

Cornerstone --- Co-Forge

Coming in second place this time around is a map from three of our own, ThrowinDemBows, Shad0w Viper, and chrstphrbrnnn. Something unheard of for Bows is the fact that this map isn't a big team battle; rather a 4v4. Even though Bows says that he put a conscious effort forward to make a smaller map, I have a sneaking suspicion that this still would've been a big team battle had Shad0w and Chrs not been involved. This laterally symmetric battle-ground is home to many of the standard support weapons as well as a few power weapons. If you haven't already, download Cornerstone and get some games going!

Vehiculation Co-Op by Katanga

Vehiculation Co-Op is the follow-up to the original Vehiculation puzzle map by Katanga. This interesting twist on a puzzle map keeps you bound to a vehicle throughout your quest to the end. As the title suggests, this is a co-op puzzle. You and a friend must work your way through, employing and exploiting various "vehicles" (one being a turret), to aid you to the end. If you played the original you'll be happy to know that checkpoints are now in place! You won't find yourself nearing completion, taking one false move and having to start all over. Katanga has raised the bar here, if you're a puzzle enthusiast, be sure to check this one out!
