Surely it hasn't been two weeks already? I could have sworn I was in the hospital yesterday watching something come out of my girlfriend's...never mind. Wow, Skarlett's already nine days old; they grow up so fast! Well then I guess today's the day, today's the day I sadly must return back to work. Today is also the day the twenty-forth Forge Hub Favorites results are announced. Oh yeah, I should probably talk about those shouldn't I? Even though each map this term has a different style, they all have one thing in common, competitive play. That's right, if you consider yourself a more serious player then you're going to love these results.
Bishop by Blaze
Having enough votes to potentially take all three spots this round, I think it's safe to say that Bishop has earned its spot in first place. I can honestly say that Blaze has constructed a true masterpiece here. Themed around a Covenant stronghold, Bishop definitely makes a name for itself in terms of being unique. The map has such a different atmosphere due to the outstandingly crafted structures and grassy pathways. The jackal tower really puts the cherry on top of this Covenant occupied area. It may not look exactly like the one on Halo 2's Relic, but it sure does resemble it. Large maps typically play well with large parties; Bishop on the other hand plays well with two versus two combat. Taking more than half of the votes, Bishop is a must have.

Terrace by xzamplez
Scoring second place this time around is a map by the name of Terrace. Xzamplez sacrificed aesthetics to ensure quality, mlg-styled play; and I must say it payed off. The arena has an inverse symmetrical design with multiple floors adding height variation throughout. Gaining the high ground is key on this map, especially if you want to grab the active camo located on top mid. The level itself is quite small, so small in fact that the only weapons on the map are four DMR's and a Grenade Launcher. The weaponry may seem a bit scarce, but it's all that's needed for some classic competitive action. Download Terrace if you're craving a good mlg map.

Final Elegy by xAudienceofone
Coming in third of our line-up is none other than Final Elegy by xAudienceofone. This symmetrical map has a Forerunner look with a side of Covenant. Tight corridors run along the rimming of this battlefield that offer great circular map flow. The centerpiece is wide open allowing the playground to be compatible with both close and mid range encounters. If you hate going through man-cannons because they expose your position then you don't have to worry when playing on Final Elegy; the two lifts on this map are built using shield doors so you can silently traverse to higher ground. If this map isn't already in your hard drive do yourself a favor and click the link below.

Be sure to congratulate these fine men as their multiplayer environments were proven to be valedictorian. And be sure to congratulate myself as I recently entered fatherhood only just nine days ago. What, that's irrelevant? So what, I just had a baby for crying out loud! Nominations for the next went up yesterday so if you haven't already done so, voice your opinions for the next round of voting. I'll be seeing y'all back here again just before the celebration of Halloween!
