Forge Hub Favorites 23

Wow, it seems like just yesterday I was writing my first article as a journalist; these two weeks have flown by. Today marks the twenty-third Forge Hub Favorites for Halo Reach. Oh no, not again! I've been seeing that number everywhere! Yesterday I was weighing up some steaks for a customer at work, and the total price was $23.00 even. Then I was invited to a Halloween party my co-worker's throwing on the twenty-third. Finally when my shift was over, I went to go clock out only to realize it was 11:23, in military time that's 23:23! Oh my goodness, today's date is October 2, 2011; 10+02+11 is twenty-three! Ok this is seriously starting to freak me out, let's just get on with the winners.

Embarcadero by FlyingshoeILR

Embarcadero is a Big Team Battle map themed around the city of San Francisco. FlyingshoeILR created a unique design layout for the map that focuses gameplay on vehicular combat. There is a main road that circulates around the outskirts of the level, a street that cuts across the middle, as well as two roads that intersect the outer ring with the center. Vehicles shouldn't be too overpowering, but if you feel they've had the spotlight for too long there are plenty of weapons at your disposal. A Gravity Hammer lies in the middle just outside of the movie theater. Nearby each base is a Sniper Rifle or Focus Rifle depending on which side you're on. Also, a Grenade Launcher can be found at either end of the center street. If you're a BTB lover than you've got to give this one a shot.

Unconquered by AtlasIsShruggin

AtlasIsShruggin has forged quite a map I must say. Heavily inspired from classic Halo maps such as Damnation and Prisoner, Unconquered provides an atmosphere for all Halo fans to enjoy. This asymmetric battleground has gameplay geared towards the middle room which is home to the almighty Energy Sword. The rooms volume is so large, it takes up most of the map. However, there are side rooms and hallways that weave in and out of the center to keep gameplay flowing smoothly. The game plays greatly with typical Team Slayer as well as Free-For-All gametypes like Oddball and Juggernaut; if you're a fan of FFA than Unconquered is the map for you!

Violaceous by Marcass2021 & AvailableMoth

Coming in 3rd place by just one vote is a map by AvailableMoth & Marcass2021. Much like our last map Unconquered, Violaceous is a great map for smaller parties looking for some good ol' Free-For-All action. The play space is great due to the fact that it's an asymmetrical design with a somewhat symmetric layout. Close quarters combat is written on just about every wall that holds this level together. The two man-cannons that shoot you across to the next floor are just one of many unique aesthetic touches that can be found in this arena. And that's not all; if Infection is your preferred play style, they have provided a separate map called Violaceous Dead for your pleasure. You'd be crazy if you didn't give this a download.

So there you have it, three fantastic maps for you guys to enjoy. Holy crap I've just realized something; this article has 16,286 letters and if you divide that by the 734 words you get twenty-three! Be sure to place your nominations for next time, see ya in two! ...And by the way, I was kidding about the letters and words thing, I hope you didn't start counting.
