I'm going to refer to 'I' a reasonable amount through this article, oh snap I just did it right there and-so-on, and if the subject of that reference isn't entirely clear from the rather dashing (or potentially less dashing) postbit to the left of these here words what you are now reading, be assured that the journalist in question typically begins their name with a P, rounds out proceedings with an i and oftentimes finds space for an egas somewhere betwixt the two. Truly, it is the modern age.
Our noticeably northern buddy, Steve, has been working his cotton socks (note: socks may or may not be cotton due to the aforementioned latitude) off recently, and I thought it only fair to chip in for this weeks Site Update. After all, I've just had a lovely holiday visiting my idilic childhood home in South London, where I was able to relive my youth by sampling the local cuisine, street theatre and traditional seasonal rioting. The smell of torched furniture shops really brings it all back, don't you find? Depending on how things pan out, this may in fact be posted by the subject of our collective affections discussion, so if you think Steve is referring to himself in the third person and must have taken a turn for the worse then yes, yes he is and has.
RevYOU Hub
Despite the hubbub surrounding the 2v2 tournament as it enters its opening (and busiest) stages, the gears continue to grind behind the scenes of Forge Hub's staple TRC Guilds. There are always maps to be played, reviews to be written, and hopes to be dashed.
If that sounds altogether too arduous for your liking, then disregard it completely and strongly consider signing up! You can do just this, here. We know many of our newest members are venturing in to unknown territory here, drawn in by a shot at glory, but we hope you consider staying around and getting stuck in to the nitty gritty of what Forge Hub is all about. Alternatively, you can crack the whip yourself and post your map for review here.
Battleships : 7.5/10 - Organite & Heroez Blade117
Exile : 2.4/10 - Oli The G
Of Legions : 6.6/10 - Plasma Blades
Escalation : 3.5/10 - Tedium
Test ALL THE THINGS
Well, not all of them, that would be ridiculous. Unless, that is, the aforementioned Throwdown Lurkers forsake the younger and more athletic RH, and instead decide to shoot for the older, but ultimately more worldly sister that is the Tester Guild. You're just one click away from a real good time.
And don't worry, I'm in no way involved with the Testers Guild, so you won't have to put up with the sleasy pop up parodies and already-tired reddit references that inexplicably plague this section. If anything, it'll act as a rather wise escape from the above.
Back to the Grind
I'd like to kick this section off with an apology regarding the distinct lack of TGIF Recaps this past Thursday. TGIF 20 saw Forge Hub join the fray for the Halo Community Charity Marathon, and I can assure you that the recaps for this altruistic edition of TGIF will be hitting the front page when the next available opening rolls around this week. In the meantime, why not follow in the footsteps of last week's fundraisers and host for TGIF 21 this friday?
To participate as a host for TGIF, simply message What's a Scope? with your party details in the following format:
[HOST'S PARTY NAME]
Host's Gamertag: [HOST'S GAMERTAG]
Start Time: [0:00pm EST]
End Time: [0:00pm EST]
Rules: [PARTY RULES]
Schedule:
[PARTY SCHEDULE]
As always, here's a quick reminder of what it takes to get your hands on that Purple
Host four consecutive TGIFs (that's back to back for a grand total of four TGIFs spanning eight weeks)
Continue a party that spans a minimum of two hours
Submit a recap of their TGIF which consists of:
A two paragraph write up
A minimum of two pictures from their TGIF
At least three download links of the maps they've played
Throwdown; the Gauntlet
http://www.astrogaming.com/If you're more than a little sick of these repeated sections talking about a supposed tournament which never seems to materialise, then it's safe to say that you're unaware of the fact that the 2v2 Throwdown has started and Round 1 is almost at an end. I can therefore also safely infer that you're missing out on the festivities, either that or you've got unexpected trip to the Losers Bracket in your surprise first round match. Either way, boo-hoo for you. If none of the above applies to you, kudos! You're well on your way to maybe-possibly winning a pair of Astro A40 Audio Systems for you and your dance partner.
Round 2 will be kicking off in style tomorrow, on Monday the 15th of August, with Stevo's Haze tagging in for Premise in the somewhat figurative map-based-baton-race, and Throwdown still heading the bill in the weekly, take-on-all-comers gametype extravaganza.
Too nonsensical; didn't attempt to understand: These are the links that you need to click, click them!

We also have another serving of videographic loveliness to sweeten the deal with our newest map in the Throwdown lineup, courtesy of Cryppy! Enjoy.

Be sure to check your respective group in the Bracket Boards late in the day on Monday to see who you're pitted against in the second round, and if you have any questions or concerns as the tournament progresses please refer to the Throwdown Customer Service section.
QOTSU
If you died tomorrow and God allowed you to be reincarnated as a fruit, which fruit would you pick and why?
So Steve apparently knows what fruit is, who knew?
Anyway, winners, winners... Anyone who's been around Forge Hub for five minutes knows the importance of getting the first post in a thread. Whilst anyone who's been around even a second longer than 5 minutes starts to question this logic, that's not the point, so shaddapa you face. PacMonster1 wins.
Mangosteen. If your asking what that is...exactly.
Moving swiftly on, now comes the time for me to pick your collective brains in a wonderfully overarching, impersonal and brief version of the Community Spotlight, only there's no Sarge involved (because he's a filthy turncoat) and no Shuman neither, nor any intellectual merit to speak of. But we both know you're still gonna answer, you're gonna answer and you're gonna like it.
With 343's announcement regarding the Title Update coming at Halo Fest, shortly before the next Site Update, what's one single thing you'd like to see included in this patch?
Inb4bloom, try to keep it interesting.
It was fun
But this fling has to end. One more SU notched on my bedpost, and I'm now left to tackle the somewhat daunting prospect of gingerly pasting all this in to Wordpress for publication on the new front page and hoping that it magically works. If it does: go me! If it doesn't: blame Reflex for not doing all the hard work for me and converting to html like he has for everyone else. That boy sure lazy. Here's hoping, catch you on the other side.
If you have any thoughts on this article, or the front page in general, that you would like to share with us then we invite you to post your opinions in the Front Page Feedback thread.
