What'up G, Word, Yo; Those would be some of the phrases I would be currently using if I were cool... However, recent studies suggest I am not cool, therefore: Good Evening my fine Ladies and Gentlemen.

Yes, it's time for the results of the Forge Hub Favorites XVII so please be prepared not to soil yourself with excitement as this has been one of the most active Forge Hub Favorites to date with possibly the hardest choice of maps to actually cast your single vote on. Without further stalling and potentially mindless rambling aside, I bring you your winners...

Elysium by Eightball

Although I'm not entirely confident on how to pronounce Elysium, I am confident that this is a deserving winner of Forge Hub Favorites. Eightball has strayed away from his typical aesthetic based competitive maps and actually sat down and thought about how he can influence gameplay. This in turn has produced a map that not only has a creative and unique asymmetrical layout with progressive gameplay to match, but it's also inspired him to create simple aesthetics throughout the map that don't cause framerate lag or distract players from their main objective: Killing each other... How nice of him ey?

With the Throwdown competition's start date approaching nearer everyday, Elysium is a map that can definitely inspire team work from a doubles point of view and get you both on top form to make securing those sexy astros that much easier.

First Tracks by FlyingShoeILR

So, I believe we have one crazy cat here... FlyingShoeILR (I Love Rice?) is rather random if I'm totally honest. After all, he's built a skiing resort at the bottom of a mountain with no snow. I would love to spend the next hour thinking of ways to rub salt into his wounds about how business is clearly dwindling, but I guess I'd have to eat my own words letter by letter as it's become a popular Forge Hub tourist resort.

Those pesky tourists are literally invading my privacy on the top of the makeshift mountain. As I'm catching all of the glorious sunshine, one of those pesky tourist even stole my snowboard! I can't wait until it's my turn to head up the mountain and steal it back... that thing cost me $4.95 from Ebay! >:[

Last Hope by Gazzaverage

And finally penultimately, we have our first third place winner. Last Hope is inspired by Halo 3's Rat's Nest. It provides an excellent contrast of vehicular and foot-based combat that sends you tumbling down memory lane and leaves you with a sensational feel of nostalgia causing you to head back onto Halo 3. However, you'll soon realise why you left Halo 3 in the DVD tower collecting dust and you'll soon be back on Reach loading up Last Hope to reminisce once again...

Dead Streets by GrimCreepr

Our last victor of FHF XVII is Dead Streets. What first appeared to be yet another Infection map with a totally original and unused name, decided to stuff an apple in my mouth and roast me on a spit of deception. Dead Streets is in fact a rather unique competitive map supporting upto 8 player combat. FriedFoodStuffz (GrimCreepr) even added a couple of ghosts for you vehicular manslaughter bros.

Due to the high activity in this Forge Hub Favorites and due to the difficulty of actually selecting just one out of six of these amazing maps, I felt the need to give both Cladite and Analogue a quick mention who both secured 7 votes each respectively.

In other related news, I'd like to publicly apologise for the previous article of Forge Hub Favorites which was distasteful at the least. If you were unlucky enough to have missed the abomination, fear not; Gully, Cold Storage and Purification links have been provided for your viewing pleasure.

As we come to a close on FHF XVII, I'd like to thank you all for your participance in what is probably the most active FHF to date (although I don't keep statistics... I just swear I keep seeing bigger and bigger numbers each time!) but don't think your work is done yet, you have new maps to nominate!
