Forge Hub Favorites 15

So... I'm 21. Check it out... * Stevo drops trousers to reveal a pair of underpants with 21 wrote across them... pretty nifty eh? In Americaville, that'd be quite a big thing though right? Being able to officially become an alcoholic, being able to officially kill a hooker by burning her alive and then burying her charred body with your best mate, and then officially being classed as 'old'. What really strikes me is, I turned 21 less than 24 hours ago now and Facebook has been spamming the shit out of my profile with the following ad:

Looking to meet up with hot girls? There's lots of beautiful girls in your area that prefer older men like you!

-sigh-

So anyway... whilst we've all been out partying and celebrating this momentous occasion of me being officially Awesome, the lack of activity in the voting thread is excused... BUT ONLY FOR THIS ONE TIME!

Verticaus by Noxiw

So for those of you who did manage to find 5 minutes away from "Party-time with Stevo", you all decided that Verticaus was 'Teh must Ossimist Map EVAR!' However... recent research indicates Verticaus could be better by addressing the following concerns:

Needz moar interlox 2/5

Interlocking aside, Verticaus provides an interesting atmosphere for fellow Forge Hub lurkers as you can't really decipher much from the thread in the Competitive map database. Oh well lurkers, looks like Noxiw's con'd you into downloading his map because we all know curiosity killed the cat right? Meownyannyannyannyannyannyan.

Randomandslightlyspammychat aside, Verticaus is a very good Team Slayer map and comes with it's own gametype as well. Verticaus also strays away from the typical Forge World map by effective use of Soft Kill barriers and natural scenery. Noxiw manages to create an exceptional map that looks and plays a lot differently to other competitive maps. Download nao! gogogogogogo!

The Divide by Rorak Kuroda

The next map to emerge semi-victorious is The Divide by Ro(u)rak Kuroda. I say "Semi-Victorious" because it tied with another map in the ever so abandoned voting thread that's been left collecting dust for the past week or so.

The Divide was initially a Throwdown map submission, however, due to the deadline passing about 5 years ago and having the rest of the Forge Hub staff still sitting around sipping cocktails in the sun, Ro(u)rak Kuroda finally decided to release the piece of evil upon us all, forcing the lazy staff to get back to work in the Forge Hub competition. Damn you Rourak, DAMN YOU!

So anyway, despite this being about 3 or 4 months late and well overdue the Throwdown deadline, Rourak still likes to advertise that his creation was infact for the Throwdown competiton so to play it effectively, you'll need the Forge Hub Throwdown gametype to go alongside it. I would find a link for you guys... but I'm lazy and I've had to put down my cherry and apple cocktail to write this article. DAMN YOU KURODA!

Gallium by alreadyRogue

And the final map for FHF this time is Gallium which tied with The Divide as mentioned before. As I currently write this article, I can hear a repetitive banging against the wall. Now, either the next door neighbour has purchased a series of new pictures that require hanging up... or he's royally giving her a good seeing to. Either way... that noise is extremely distracting... oh wait. They've stopped, excellent... carry on Stevo.

Gallium is alreadyRogue's first competitive map. So take him as a virgin if you will (not literally take him though... I expect he wants to remain a virgin in that aspect), he's not going to be the leading role in Star Whores: Revenge of the Tits or anything fancy like that. However, it looks like he could have been considering his first has already become a memorable experience for quite a few people. Wow, I should really get off the subject of sex and stop planting random innuendo's in this paragraph.

Anyway, Gallium has an interestingly symmetrical (albeit slightly asymmetrical) layout which manages to promote taking your enemy from behind by penetrating through the back door, alternatively you could always just empty your load on them from the front. Whichever works best for you.

And that's a fap, err.. I mean rap. Let's have a little more activity next time guys. Wouldn't want poor Stevo to lose his job now would you? I'd have to like bum it on the street corner asking for pieces of paper just so I can write almost indecipherable ramblings for idiots to read.

Oh errr... by idiots I meant the abbreviation for I.D.I.O.T.S (Interestingly Dedicated Individuals On Topic-related Subjects)...... Damn I'm good. Must be this new 21 year old awesomeness shining through.

Peace <3
