Recap:

My TGIF party started out as an attempt to get a few people to play so Halo 3 customs, sort of a throwback to TGIF’s past. however, when very few people (and by that i mean 2 people) decided that Halo 3 was worth their time, I moved on over to Reach. At first I had trouble putting a party together, but we soon had a ridiculously big party and were playing all sorts of mini-games and competitive maps. I decided, “Hey, if I can’t get an old-fashioned Halo 3 TGIF, might as well have one on Reach, with that old TGIF spirit. Play games that everyone loves and have a bunch of laughs along the way! I got my fellow hosts, Darth Human and Vicious Vice to join for a little pre-their-TGIF-and-during-mine game session, and we had a blast.

Now for the party itself. I want to thank everyone who joined my party. You were all awesome and mature and we had a bunch of laughs along the way. I know the party was a little early in the day, but we had a bunch of people including, just to name a few, Master Debater, a man cannon, brassballs (lol) and several other people floating in and out. We started off with a game of Peasant Hunt, which turned into everyone screaming WACKA-WACKA-WACKA-WACKA to mimic pac-man, and eventually having everyone following the last man standing. Then we had a game of minesweeper, which Master Debater is uncannily good at, followed by a game of rocket race, where we all took on the mighty Vicious Vice at his own game. Overall, the party was a 3 hour, fun-filled, action packed TGIF of Awesomeness (to steel a name from Insane).

Rocket Race for the win! I put up a good fight in the yellow uniform!

Splattered by a giant golfball...I knew that’s the way I would go!

This week really struggled to hold a large party for a while, eventually we just cut it down to smaller maps due to the decrease in player count, so those maps didn't show up in the recap.

Most of the maps played were tests on (as far as I'm aware) unreleased maps, including the ones in the recap video (Which had to be audio swapped due to copyright issues (glares at YouTube)).

Mr. pinohkio would also mentioned that his recap was a bit short because he was ill, so let's all hope he gets better.

Overall, this was a really good TGIF – Even though many people weren’t exactly the most talkative. Despite the limited variety in voices, the party was relatively full the entire night, boasting 12-16 people the entire time. The gameplay leaned towards mini-games the majority of the night, as any infection we played seemed to be pitifully cursed with black screens. Nonetheless, we played many favorites such as Flushing Toilet, Don’t EMP me Bro, Double Rainbow, and Stealin’ Your Flags. In the mix, we also had some less known games such as The Generators and The UNSC Wyvern.

It was a hectic night, filled with quite a bit of laughs balanced out by a few WTF moments. The casual games kept all of the gameplay on a light note and the occasional few actually elicited some vocal responses from the otherwise mute crowd! But since there were some who talked the entire night it was still great (and since those who didn’t were otherwise respectful, I couldn’t complain much – It was better than most groups I’ve had in the past). But, they say a picture is worth 1,762 words, so onto the 10,572 word summary!

“Blue team can be blueberries.”
“So does that mean red team is strawberries?”
“No, they’re redberries. Orange team are orange berries. And we’re lettuce; the stuff that no one likes but puts on everything.”
“So we’re on everything... And no one likes us. That sounds quite a bit like a rapist.”

"Why HELLO there Mr.Zombie! Fancy seeing you here!"

"C'mon Blaise, let's do it, NO BALLS."

"Guys, shh, shh... Alright. Kumbaya, my lord, kumbaya.. Oh God."

"I'm on a lightpost. What, never seen a zombie just chillin on a lightpost before? Freak."

(In a Scottish Accent) "Cap'n! Our navigational systems have failed! Fire the back-up thrusters, we need to stabilize 'er!"

I hope you all enjoyed the recap. I'd like to thank all the hosts that made this article possible.
