Since there is obviously no way I can possibly live up to the awesomeness that was the last Site Update I have decided to give you a little treat. Ha, little..I'm being modest. You have probably already realized by this point, but last week we welcomed some fine, feathered friends to our team of wordsmiths. One young chap was an upstart; a newbie...fresh blood so to speak. The other was a vet; a friend returning from the depths of the Hub Pub. Yes, we were indeed joined by the beautiful Stevo and the sexy thesilencebroken. With our recent additions to the Journalist team there has been some reorganization of articles. In all the chaos and commotion (and people dying) poor old FHF missed its day to shine on the front page. Never fear though because we've got this under control. With all the dust settled, things back in their proper places and dead bodies removed, Yoyo (also known as Reflex something) has taken the helm of Forge Hub's (second) favorite article, which will be returning to you at its regularly scheduled time this coming Sunday.

I was thinking that it might be polite to inform you fine fellows that there have been two major changes to the Throwdown Forge Contest. The first and very important change is that all map creators are now allowed to submit two (2) map submission as opposed to the previous one (1) submission allowed. The second major change, possibly more important, is that the deadline for submission has been moved back until March 3rd, 2011. More time is definitely a positive when talking about competitive maps and we want your submissions to be the best they can be. Staff Picks - Round 2
Last update we unveiled a little idea we were testing out. Staff Picks was a new way for us to showcase all the awesome maps you guys create even more effectively than we could before (apart from featuring them). Each staff member got to choose a map he thought was cool beans and stuck it to the top of the forum. After two weeks of this process we've seen a lot of positives and a few negatives. However, two weeks certainly isn't enough time to conduct our research so Staff Picks will be joining you, once more, for a two week trial. However, what is missing currently is the community's response to the idea. So, this time around I've set up a place where you can praise or rage about all that is Staff Picks. Keep in mind: this is not a thread to suggest maps to be stuck; this is not a thread to complain about specific choices. We look forward to your input.

Moderators Are Members Too
I wanted to do a repost of last week's Shad0w Viper address. Okay, well it's not really an address since he didn't write it (he's scared of public speaking) but I do think it would be good to throw this in here one more time for those of you who may have missed it. However, never fear...it is spoilered so it's gigantorness doesn't pain the eyes of those who have already read it.
Shad0w Viper would like me to inform you all that our trusty moderators who uphold the coveted rules of Forge Hub with an iron fist are also members of our site who have sworn to abide by these rules on the day they joined. Thus, it is not permitted for moderators to break these rules, most specifically behavioral ones. Moderators are not permitted to insult other members; be they members of the staff or other members of the community. They may not do so in any form, such as publicly on the forums, in the shoutbox, through PMs, through VMs, through infraction messages or generally anywhere else the sites jurisdiction would cover. Moderators also do not simply include only the blue guys. Guardians, Journalists and Admins are all subject to the same rules as you. Thus it is prudent for you to message Shad0w Viper with any instance of this abuse. If you are personally affected by, or witness to, any moderator's abuse then please do the right thing and tell Shad0w.. However, false claims with the aim of getting someone punishment is not tolerated therefore it is beneficial if you have evidence of your claim (link to posts, infraction messages, screen caps, etc).
Remember however, that as the title says: "moderators are members too" and they do not deserve abuse from you guys in any sense. If you do not agree with an infraction you received you are permitted to respond to the moderator with your thoughts in a polite manor. Do not resort to cursing and name calling and do not publicize the issue in areas such as Customer Service; this is inappropriate. If the issue cannot be resolved between yourself and the moderator then you are welcome to bring the issue to Shad0w Viper's attention. Thank you.

I think it's only fair that Sony sues George Hotz, he did clearly contribute toward jailbreaking the PS3.
People and their morals...
Double edged sword. People will start to buy more PS3s so hardware sales = win but, the games purchased will drop off a bit. Overall, I don't think it will hurt Sony all that much. In the end though, all I have to say is I still gots my Live, Reach, and Forge so, what do I need to worry 'bout that PS3 for?
