I originally had a whole section about the holidays here, but I assume it would be a bit belated now...

So, yes, excuse the wait please. If you can't send me a message cursing me out, infraction-free. Just kidding though, that, my pals, would be unprofessional ;). So, anyway, let's get on to the original message:

As you may remember, my mentally unstable colleague known as the Sir Buddhacrane the Wise wrote the last front page article. Well, that's because he tricked me into eating some pie that was laced with sleeping pills. When I awoke I was locked in a cell. I was tortured and interrogated until I finally told him the secret of FHF. Okay... maybe that was a dream, but still. Let's thank Mr. Buddha for his good work.

Now, this was by far the most successful edition of FHF since Reach started. Usually, I collect the maps that have two nom's and put the on the ballot, but this time, I couldn't do that. The least nominated map on the poll probably had about five nominations. That's a pretty steep incline. Some maps had 10+ nom's. So thanks a bunch, guys, for making this a fantastic article possible. Well, let's get to it. The Big Three are below.

Amalgam - SecretSchnitzel - Competitive

This cool map has became an apparent community hit. It received many nominations and votes and the thread is a'boomin. It's a Asymmetrical map for Ball but also plays other games well too. SecretSchnitzel explains it was inspired by Assembly. Check it out for yourself.

The Venetian - Devenish - Competitive

The Venetian is more than a cool name. It's a badass map. I mean look at it. There are several large areas for battles that are connected by bridges. For the literately inclined, there are even A and B sides of the map denoted by signs. No joke, this map has a huge A and a real nice B.

Abridged - Draw the Line - Competitive

This map draws the line between the great urban maps and the -uh well...- not so great. Lying on the former side, this premium map has outstanding architecture. It's asymmetrical yet extremely balanced as the teams remain in Gridlock close scores until the very end. Btw, it has a bridge. This is another reference to DtL<3.
