A wild Site Update appears! The Community uses Read. It’s super effective! Site Update uses blow communities mind with awesomeness. It’s super, super effective! The community has fainted. Sorry guys, Site Update is just too much to handle, I never lose. If you didn’t figure it out already, this update is going to be awesome. No, not because the opening said so but because every update is awesome! However we do have some things to further increase said awesome to levels that exceed overused internet memes. Maybe not more than Forge World awesome but I’ve used awesome far too many times in this opening paragraph and it is now barred from the remainder of this article. On with the awesome-date! Oops.

What’s a Promotion?

By now if you haven’t figured out what a scope is you might as well get off Halo and go have a social life (lol, who wants one of those). Or maybe you just thought it was a super cool name like one of our new journalists. If you happened to not scroll down the front page and missed the latest two articles then you would not have noticed that both Death Yoyo and What's A Scope? have been promoted to the rank of journalist. These fine fellows joined the team just in time to help kick FH into seventh gear (otherwise known as Reach mode). Make sure to congratulate these two because they live to serve you and you owe them! Alongside our red-faced friends we welcome a new blue to wage war against in our bloody staff gulch. Black Theorem was just so damn good as a Guardian we had to bring him up to the big leagues. Watch yo backs.

Jeez this list is friggin’ long. As well as staff promotions we’ve had a few more successful and talented forgers join the elite ranks. MetaWaddleDee and jakob hunter don the brown cloak for the featuring of their Foreign Treasures contest maps. MetaWaddleDee came in second with his Shipment remake and jakob hunter’s Halfghan was so good we had to feature it outside of the contest. Make sure you congratulate these guys who are working so hard to entertain you in the closing months of Halo 3. In addition to the premiums, members Spawn of Saltine and Benji have been promoted to loyal for their continued hard work in the Testers Guild so make sure you give them your thanks for testing all those maps.

Don’t Be Hatin’

Our old friends at the Review Hub are just as cynical, pessimistic and cold-hearted as always. As per usual with the Site Updates they’ve thrown some of their thoughts my way. If you haven’t heard of them you don’t pay enough attention because I literally repeat myself every update. However for those of you who are new to the site and would like to try their hand at the Review Hub you can always apply here. Otherwise you should check out the reviews listed below.

Deep Atlantis : 8/10 - MickRaider
AC-130 : 2.8/10 - Death Yoyo
Pinball : 9/10 - MickRaider
Mittenpunkt : 7.8/10 - Bloo Jay
SoGgy Cave V2 : 4.2/10 - ScarecrowXavier
Shang Ra La : 7.0/10 - Death Yoyo
Sentry : 6.2/10 - Bloo Jay

Golden Boys

The good child (and the favorite), the Testers Guild, has in been in full swing for over a month now. Even with the slow levels of Halo 3 these special guys find a way to test all of the maps you budding forgers put forth. So if you’d like to stop on over to the Testers Guild to join or just give them your thanks, you can check it out here. Otherwise you can always check out their feedback and see what they’re saying about some soon to be released maps. Insider information ya know?

All Inked Up

Last update Forge Hub received a new look. If you have seen our new default skin, Reach Dark, you should venture down to the little lower right hand corner and check it out, or click below to change your skin. Also, if you weren’t aware, this current model of the skin is a beta with upcoming changes as well as possible changes based on your feedback. If you’d like to give up your two cents, check out the feedback thread.

Why Hello There Good Friend

Forge, how we longed for you; the warmth of your touch, the smell of your hair. Your cold, unforgiving body that screwed us in more than one way. Woah, way too sexual but anyway, back on topic. If you have been living under a rock (yes, cliché!) then I should tell you that during Comic Con Forge 2.0 was unveiled by Bungie. While it is honestly far too huge to talk about in this miniscule update I can say that Bungie has basically given us every Forger's dream in one neat little package. To go along with this nice present from Bungie, us fine folks at Forge Hub put up a nice little section for you to discuss all this forgey goodness in. Welcome to our Halo Reach boards, a small section of what the site will soon become.

Champions of Them All.

As I told you all last update, Best of Forge: Halo 3 history edition is coming up very soon. Well last week I didn’t have a date for you, but that has changed. Best of Halo 3’s Forge will begin Tuesday, August 3. If you aren’t familiar with Best of Forge it is a contest held semi annually that allows the community to nominate and vote for the best forge maps in given categories. However, the Best of Halo 3 edition will encompass every map from the beginning of Halo 3 up until August 3, 2010. That’s a lot of maps. So now is most definitely the time to get out and find your favorites in Slayer, Objective, Design, Infection, Casual, Mini Game, Race and more. Look out for the article on Tuesday.

Dress-Up, Reach Style

LIGHTSOUT225 was fortunate enough to pay the fine fellows of Bungie a visit at this past month's San Diego Comic-Con. In addition to getting in some quality Reach time, he also came away with a couple goodies! Each one of these codes will redeem one Noble 6 Avatar Helmet on the XBL Marketplace. Just replace the "?" with the missing letter or number to redeem your sexy new Spartan digital digs.

All She Wrote. Wait, I mean He Wrote..

These weeks are simply flying. I honestly cannot believe how fast this summer has gone. In thirty days it will be September. In two weeks from that it will be Reach. After Reach there will be no more time and that, good sirs, is the way I like it. See ya in two.
