TGIF #26 Recap

Here once again is another TGIF recap. This time around we had a number of hosts, and some good fun throughout the night. With a great amount of "screenshot" worthy times, this was truly one of the better TGIF's. Now let us take a look at some screenshots, videos, and each host's recap:

Linubidix's Recap:

Well TGIF started out slow and didn't vary a whole lot. I woke up about an hour prior to when I planned to so I just jumped straight into it. Overall it was a mediocre TGIF intertwined with the few really fun moments. I love the idea and premise behind TGIF but when running parties it's always a hassle to get the right set up. Rarely during my 3 hour experience did I have even numbers to run a fair team game. The few times I did, it was interupted by someone joining at the last minute or dropping out half way through. I played a majority of FFA and slayer. The few team games I had were great though. Team Slayer on Yukon Canyon was great as always, One Flag on Verbatim, despite having lop-sided teams for half the game, was a blast, FFA on Sanghelios didn't disappoint, Satellite Mice seemed to anger the party(yet most people there broke the honor rules), Smear the Pinkie was addictive fun, Overbite housed some fantastic FFA, 8 Emeral Legs was one of a kind and probably my fondest map of this TGIF, Landing Pad provided 3 great slayer games.
Throughout the day, I only ended up booting one person. My party was generally well behaved yet I rarely had even numbers which sucked. To sum it up, it was good but not great.

Vorpal Saint's Recap:

Alrighty, first of all I would like to thank DRiSC0LL for helping with hosting. He did a great job and really helped out with making the night one hell of one. The first group was small but we started the night off with some conquest. After a while we grew and we had a lot of fun on various maps. We had a X-mas themed (red vs green) MLG fight on Guardian and that was actually really fun. Through out the night we played some Cat 'n' Mouse, some more conquest, Pennyless, Tremor Blast, Battle Snipers/Lasers, Tremors, Necro Falls, Chaos King, and much much more. There was plenty of good times, and there were also some bad times. But for the most part it was enjoyable.

COMMANDERMATT1's Recap:

Ah yes... TGIF #26 was a blast thanks to a certain other AZN that happens to be FTW joining the party and kept the fun going well past the after party. Thanks to Mr. AZN he kept the party fun and enjoyable for everyone and also kept the party full almost the whole time of the event.

I started my party with what may be the most successful Mini-game/Non-sense mayhem to date:Shotty's in a Can.Since, Mr. AZN joined my party I let him Co-host with me the entire night. We played many maps from the dawn of the word press days of Forge Hub too what Forge Hub is today. AZN provided the party with old maps before the age of interlocking that was still a blast to play; while I came up with newer Mini-games that everyone knew and loved.

How my party went is hard to describe in words. But, I can tell you that it was nothing short of EPIC! I never had so much fun in a TGIF party in a long time. There was a small patch of lag in the game but quickly went away after some time passed. I thank everyone for joining my party and staying in the party even after the party was supposed to end.

Let it be known that for now on all TGIF shall now be called TGIAD or Thank God It's Asian Day. Anytime you are within the presence of me and or AZN FTW (Weather he is in the party or not) during a TGIF event it shall be known as TGIAD or Thank God It's Asian Day. This is to celebrate all things pertaining to Asian's. It's still going to be a TGIF event at it's core just a little name change for fun.

Vicious Vice's Recap:

The night was ridiculous. We pretty much played every map i could think of, old and new. We started at 6pm and it went on till the strike of midnight. We played my favorite casual game Peasant Hunt on Forgotten Crypt the remake Lost Chamber. Team Rave Remix games were played on Sapphire and were probably my high light because everyone was getting overkills from 1 plasma nade. Convoy Tunnel was really hard this week the zombies were always really good players and i think they only made it to the end once. Jenga as always was very fast and brutal. Only few managed to survive past the first few seconds of each round, including me. Conquest on The Cellars was a one-sided barrarage from the blue team, thank to the very humble Vice and his sniper. Manifest was entertaining with the humans surviving almost every round. The Guass Hogs on Constrictor were such a Blast I had to load up BTB Conquest after it for my Guass Rampages. We of course played every Tremor/Cat/Mouse combination you can imagine. There are never enough good Mongoose/Tremor/Wraith combination games. I cant wait to see what else is made. In the middle of the night we took a couple of Pictures in the Mongoose Catapult. Overall the Night was excellent. I did have to boot a few people for either lag or unsportmanlike conduct but most came back and enjoyed the rest of the evening.

Insane54's Recap:

I had a pretty good time in my return to TGIF. The lag was withstandable, the people were cool, and everyone seemed to enjoy the maps. At the beginning, one the Tremors somehow managed to splatter another Tremor, never seen that happen before. Anyway, I had great fun. Thank you to all those who participated and those who watched it over the live broadcast, I hope to do it again. :)

Felipe Dos's Recap:

Felipe's Fiesta of Frivolous Fun kicked off with a very small game on Redeemer. The SMG starts truly brought out a Halo 2 reminiscence. We only managed to play a slayer game, yet I cannot wait to try out other gametypes, perhaps next Friday.

We continued with rousing few games on Gridlocked. It was a small party, yet every gametype played beautifully. This map. It amazes me. It finds bliss in simplicity, as they say. The grid design keeps players from going minutes without finding anybody else. Tis the perfect cross between close-corners and long ranges.

Our third excursion into the realms of funnity was a good ol' game of conquest on Chasm. It was here that eight people joined the party, making a 14-player tug of madness. People in the middle territory were being pushed into the death pit by the sheer number of conquistadors running about.

From then on out people joined and left pretty randomly. I had been having problems with my xbox for a while, and it finally decided to konk out a few hours in. I had planned to have pics, but it the 360 insisted on being difficult. I still, however, plan on having fun with the fellow patrons of FH next TGIF.

And above all, last Friday night I learned that Jesus is actually a pretty good Halo 3 player.
