Forge like a Pro
Fritzer and Kon Artist's MLG contest is now at its end. The basic run down of Forge like a Pro: run by two highly respected members of the MLG community, you were to submit your (foundry) MLG map in the proper category. Once the time is up, these two will judge each map, decide and announce the winners. We hope to hear back soon, we're all anxious to see the results.

Lazy Mapmakers Contest
The third instalment is also at its end. In this time of interlocking and geomerging anything and everything to each other, this contest implores just the opposite. The point of the LMC is to create a map with no interlocking or geomerging to prove that technique is not everything and to emphasize design. Judging will begin soon, look out for the results in the near future.

Off Topic and Warned Members
Those of you who have been unfortunate enough to wear the warned rank lately may have noticed that you don't have access to the Off Topic sub-forum. This is no accident nor is it something that is in need to be fixed. In an attempt to help rid the site of unwanted activities, members who have 3 or more valid infractions no longer have the privilege of Off Topic.
Off Topic
Due to an increase in spam and meaninglessness in the forum, the staff are enforcing stricter rules in Off Topic. No longer can you merely create a thread containing a picture. The essence of off topic is to discuss topic unrelated to the site, unrelated to Halo, unrelated to Far Cry, to create and participate in forum games. It is not a place to post one word responses completely unrelated to the topic at hand. We hope you take this as fair warning. There will be several threads locked and eventually, if the matter gets worse, infractions will be handed out.
Signature of the year reminder
The time for voting is almost over, remember to get your vote in before the new year every vote helps. The winner will receive a custom title have their sig featured on the front page and will be allowed to choose the theme of the next Sig of the week contest.

Illegal images
Two new infractions have recently been added: Illegal Images (Class I) and (Class II). The former results in a 3 day ban, the latter results in a 2 month ban. What does this infraction entail? Infringing copyright without express permission - for example, by posting magazine scans - is a criminal offence and will be dealt with appropriately. The infraction itself can also apply to other situations.
Promotions
To end this site update on a lighter note, we'll let you know of all the recent rank shifts and promotions. Returning to his former glory, albeit not a full return, Forge Hub's founder, TrueDarkFusion has lessened the number of retirees with his re-promotion to Staff. Giving up the moderating scene, Tex joins the reds as their newest Journalist. Expect to see him on the home page a lot more. Bulking up the crew, we obtained a new moderators. Which is Creep1ng De4th, you don't want to be receiving any private messages from him. Almost as soon as it happened everything went back to normal, thesilencebroken, at his decision is once again among the premiums. We thank him for all the work he's done as both a Guardian and a Moderator. Capping off 2008, we welcome our three newest Loyals. For his dedicated work in the Testers guild, his great attitude and excellent posts, xX5w33n3y70ddXx has been promoted to Loyal. For his dedication to Forge Hub and extensive work in the MLG community, HITtheLIGHTZ also joins the ranks as one of our newest Loyals. Last but certainly not least, COMMANDERMATT1 wears the prestigious purple rank with pride for being a jolly good chap and being an excellent host for TGIF. Additionally, with the cleansing of off topic beginning two people expressed deep interest in the matter; Mastar and chrstphrbrnnn darken their names to join the team of Guardians, making it a group of four yet again.
