TGIF #22 Recap

Another TGIF gone by another day dedicated to more gaming on the horizon. Our Bi-weekly bread and butter went on as always there were battles lost, people booted, splatter sprees, and of course many, many Mice scurrying around. If you missed this TGIF dont worry because there is always another TGIF to look forward to. TGIF 22 may have been awesome but expect TGIF 23 to be filled with more win-sauce.

Linubidix's TGIF Recap

Well, this was my first TGIF in over a month. It wasn't amazing but it was better than a lot of others. It was a lot shorter than I'd ever experienced but that wasn't the only thing. Due to me sleeping in, I started it an hour and a half later than I wanted to. I hastily went into custom games, threw up Slayer on Sanghelios, dove into FH TGIF 02 and sent out a round of invites. Within moments I had a party of 5. Opening match was great, very fun, I won. The game ended with an additional 5 people, so I put up my favourite Avalanche variant; Yukon Canyon. After about 5 minutes of people not cooperating to switch to blue team, we finally caught them with 5 people on purple and I started it. But then I was forced to boot people who cancelled the game before starting. Finally, it got started and went relatively smoothly. After that was a fail game of Kentucky Tango, it's impossible to enjoy One Flag without even teams. It was then that Chipsinabox joined, I ran a few games of Tremors and Chips put my tremor skills to shame as he mowed through almost everyone. Distortion was next and the party died out in that, so with 3 people still remaining I jumped into Chrstphrbrnn's party and had some quick infection fun. After that, I had things to do IRL, so I was afk for about an hour before I remembered to turn off my xbox.
Overall, it was short and sweet. Better than most but far from the best.

Predicide's TGIF Recap

So my first TGIF back, after 3 months without Xbox Live went well, all things considered. The average party size was pretty small, and there was a lot of turnover, so the dynamics were a bit different. Tremor Blast was a favorite, it made up for some failed Infection experiments. Also, some great Conquest action took place. Always a blast.

chrstphrbrnnn's TGIF Recap

After enjoying silences awesome party for a few hours, I was quick to the helm so I could pick up party lead for a few games of mine and xX5w33ny70ddXx new and upcoming infection map done right, known as Incarnate (lol, or keep it on the down low, as it is currently named). Despite the lag for the first few rounds, people seemed to overly enjoy traipsing through our urban recreation on their path to meet their greatest challenge, in awe at the aesthetics Mr Sweeny (and I) managed to create. We were both overly enthused that we manged 16 people for a few games. We even had linu, and no lag! All in all, my short takeover of silence's party was almost as fun as the one he had hosted before he had to leave.

Vorpal Saint's TGIF Recap

My TGIF party, despite my sudden RRoD, went on as planned due to me going over my friends house and playing over there. We started off with my normal 8-sized party on fun competitive maps. Such as Distortion 0, Ambrosia, and Façade. On all three games I managed to get an overkill… we’ll not on Façade. But I did get two in Ambrosia. Moving on to conquest (same size party) we played great maps like Traction, The Cellars, and Chasm. Like most conquest games there was a massive amount of dead bodies on the ground at the central point. Chasm saw the most carnage with an overall of 216 kills (53 of them were done by Backoff 711). After all the massive kills that took place, we went on and did some mongoose driving. We skated on DoogNitized, Rocket Raced on Skyjump, and Raced on Whiplash. Having 8 people in DoogNitized (as my friend called it) was like a massive mosh-pit. For a rocket race map, Skyjump lived up to its name and had mongeese flying very high in the air via rocket or mancannon. Whiplash being my favorite race track was very fun; I ended up winning 10, and second place had 8 (and I even had to stop to boot someone). What is a TGIF without the classic game of Cat 'n' Mouse? Not a TGIF at all. Of course with opening the party up more, lag and noobs come in. But for the most part, we made fun out of it. Doing many barrel roles, having more than two people on one mongoose, and oh, and did I mention that my guest and I were eating pizza for the most part? Any-who, it was a lot of fun and we all had a blast. Speaking of blast, Tremor related games is what we played next. We started off with Fat Rat’s and had some wicked tremors killing everything in their way. It was the same in Tremors 'n' Mouse Reloaded, though, in one round the tremor was AFK so we decided to drive around as if it were a skate park. Then came Tremor Blast. The humans had got two flags, and almost got the third one, but the three tremors out did them and they got blasted away. Next came the zombie onslaught. Like always, whenever I play Forgotten Crypt I put in two. This makes things very crazy and fast. When we went to play Lost Chamber I forgot to take off the second one and well, there was mass chaos. But in the end it was hell of fun. Time came to where I revealed the last game of the night. We played the upcoming infection superstar made by chrstphrbrnnn and xX5w33ny70ddXx. The sad thing though is it was lagtacular. Still, it was fun for the most part. Though it played not as it should’ve been played (due to lag)… Hopefully no one got the wrong impression because of the lag, because it is a fun game and be sure to look for it’s release.

COMMANDERMATT1's TGIF Recap

My TGIF started out a little 'rocky' in the beginning with only a few people joining in the first few games. But, after sending out some invites I was soon able to get at least 10 people in the party. My party also had it's fair share of mature players which I for one am happy about. But, we also had problems of immature players which some of them I had to boot for various reasons. I am happy to say that there was almost no lag in the party (That I detected). I had a great time hosting another TGIF and my party also seemed to enjoy playing more Mini-Games of Win!

Vicious Vice's TGIF Recap

TGIF as always went off without a hitch. We played nothing but mongoose inspired games and threw in a few classics like Peasant Hunt and Convoy Tunnel. Tremor Blast as always was the big hit of the evening. Sadly this is all i can say about the evening because after a dozen games i was forced to withdraw to the living room and host an inpromptu party that people failed to tell me was on TGIF day. Expect a huge TGIF from me to make up for the lack of my usual super extended TGIFs.
