The Semi Finals (Championship Bracket) will end on Sunday the 7th December at 5pm EST / 10pm GMT
Remember - You play 3 matches - 1 Match on each of the 3 gametypes
The Competition is getting tight as 4 of our Championship Bracket teams were eliminated last round. Jamp, Corruption, Minty Fresh and Next Level have all reached the end of their Faceoff journey, but those who are left face off against one another in the final 2 matches before the playoff for the Championship next week. Bad Kids are drawn up against Ultimate Win, and Two Magic Hippos will face Blitz. Last round saw some really tough play, and this one promises to be even more tense and gripping and Grindstone is thrown in to the mix.
Start of Semi Finals
Grindstone will be played this week (Semi Finals).
Slate Creek will be played next week (Final Round).
The Championship match (Final Round) will consist of 7 games instead of 3, 2 of each of the 3 gametypes, then another Slayer game.
And remember, if you're stuck with anything, be sure to check out our tournament FAQ.
Slimmed down to only 4 teams, this round sees a pair of matches as the Finals draw close. The lineup this round is:
Bad Kids vs Ultimate Win
Two Magic Hippos vs Blitz
Keep an eye on the Championship Bracket sub-board to see how all the matches pan out, only half of these teams will move into the Finals next week.
Grindstone (Round 13/SF map)
This is Grindstone, this is where hope goes to die and blood pours out. Where any team that wants to win must give it their all and then some. Where one false move and the battle is lost. Where victory is seldom heard, but defeat runs rampant. This is Grindstone, are you ready?
Grindstone is a step in another direction from other foundry maps. It is assymetrical and uses about three quarters of foundry and almost every piece of geometry is connected. With it's blend of unique mergings and seamless interlocking, grindstone boasts one of the best visuals of any large-scale foundry map.
It has evolved over several months through trial and error to bring the best possible gaming experience. Gameplay is often hectic and wildy fun due to the ebb and flow of the map as combatants constantly fight for the upper hand. Weapons have been shuffled and balanced to increase player movement around the map.
Tournament players please note that a NEW variant is being used for 1-Flag, linked below. This variant has been designed specifically for Grindstone, so make sure you use the correct one when playing your matches.

Slate Creek (Final Round, Championship Map)
12 rounds and 1,022 players down. Only 2 teams, and one map stand. What a way to cap off a spectacular tournament than with an absolutely incredible map. Draw the Line does it again with Slate Creek. A map born for doubles, its figure 8 style creates a very natural flow as players circle and wrap around each other in epic bouts. Controlling the center bridge and Spartan Laser will only get you so far. No one weapon or position is too dominant, meaning teamwork is an certain necessity to success.
From a technical aspect, Slate Creek could not have been forged any cleaner. Clean merging and interlocking perfectly complement its stellar gameplay. With great use of elevation and ground cover, Slate Creek's organic layout would have players marveling at their surroundings had their virtual lives not been in constant danger. In short, Slate Creek is about as close to perfect as a 2v2 map can possibly get.
