2v2 Faceoff - End of Round Five
Round 5 ends Sunday 5th October 5pm EST / 10pm GMT
Round 6 will end on Sunday 12th October 5pm EST / 10pm GMT
Remember - You play 3 matches - 1 Match on each of the 3 gametypes
The extended Round Five has now ended bringing us neatly to the half way point of the group stages. Only 8 teams remain in each group going into the sixth round and its time to start picking a favourite. The illusive phantoms of "no-show" are all but exorcised and the matches are becoming a good deal more tense. The promise of prizes also lingers, so be sure to watch this space for more specific information in the next few weeks, but we envision the victors being pleased enough with what we have in store.
Start of Round Six
Round Six matches have now been posted in your group sub-board
The cavernous beauty that is Eclipse has been available to your good selves for 2 weeks now, so we hope that your team are familiar with this round's arena. Learn to traverse the map properly and you can turn a high-ground advantage on its head. Go now, fight, and do your respective logos proud.
You all know the drill by now:
Both the winners and losers brackets will play this week (round 6)
Only the losers bracket will play the following week (round 7), giving the winners bracket a week off
Eclipse (below) will be played both weeks, with the next map being released on the 12th of October, giving both brackets a week to practice for round 8.
And remember, if you're stuck with anything, be sure to check out our tournament FAQ.
Eclipse (Round 6 map)
As an asymmetrical MLG-styled map, Eclipse utilizes a layout with multiple routes and pathways to each area of the map. The map is divided in to three main, distinctive parts, A base, B room and needle spawn. Between these areas there are a number of walkways, tunnels and ramps that allow for easy flow around the map. Eclipse puts a real emphasis on controlling the high ground whilst not making it a death sentence to attack an opponent who has a strong vantage point.

That's not all folks...
On another, non-tournament note, Bungie.net have now implemented the promised updates to the online Fileshare system, thus rendering all current Bungie.net content links (maps, screenshots, gametypes) inactive. If you want your threads to stay kosher then you must update the content links to their new versions ASAP. This can be done by simply logging into Bungie.net, grabbing the new links, and editing your content posts with these new links. You can easily find all your content threads by going to your Profile page -> Statistics tab, then clicking the "Find all threads started by.." link. Look through the list to find your map/screenshot threads then edit the links accordingly.
We will not tolerate any necro-posting/bumps along the lines of "Bungie links updated" and so on, but you can put a note in your original post (not the title) informing users that this is a newer, working link. We will be doing our part to fix the official links, featured maps and so on, but it may be a rough day or two as ForgeHub comes up to speed with this new system.
You can discuss the ramifications or ask questions about this issue in this customer service thread
2v2 threads for round 6 are not affected, the links within them work fine. You can still download Eclipse and the relevant gametypes, rest easy
