Nitrous has come down with a bad case of the workaholicism so I will be your host for this edition of the site update. I am sorry that I do not have a sexy southern accent like he does, but you will have to settle with my split personality instead.
In case you haven't noticed the number of purple people eaters running about Forge Hub munching on peasants has increased quite a bit. If you don't know what I am talking about, I am talking about those who were recently promoted to the rank of Loyal over the past two weeks. Those who joined the proud rank of Loyal include Iron Tusk, G043R, Tex, Vicious Vice, Chipsinabox, Pegasi Delta, Tom D Harding, & Corduroy Chuck. I would just like to remind everyone that asking to become Loyal will result in never becoming Loyal. It is a rank that is meant to be earned; begging will just result in never receiving it. Of course it is always nice to welcome new staff aboard too! Iv0rY Snak3 was promoted to Journalist today in order to help out with the front page.
If you have listened to the lastest edition of the Forgecast you may have already learned that TGIF will be receiving a makeover this week. Once TGIF player sign ups are posted on Monday users will now register by sending a friendrequest to one of the TGIF gamertags. For TGIF 12 there will be 20 hosts for the event and will be located on all of the TGIF gamertags. Each host has a set theme for their TGIF party and a set number of slots with the party set to open. Players can find information about each party in the bio and motto of each host who will be easily indentifiable by their bunny gamerpicture. With this new format we hope more of the community can be involved in a much more fun experience. Players can now jump between parties as slots are available to play what fits them best at the moment.
Additionally graphically changes are in the air. Nitrous finally has finished the redesigned Respected rank bar between relapses of workaholicism and will be added tomorrow. Of course there's more to come, something else is out there looming in the nearby future. I must tell you it is not a new site template, but something almost as exciting.
The Best of Forge preliminary voting comes to an end on Sunday. If you haven't voted for your favorite Forge creation be sure to vote asap. Voting is about to be closed. Once the votes are counted we will be releasing the ballots for the final vote. The three maps that received the most votes in each category will be voted on by the community to determine which map is truly the best of Forge for this semester.

Okay now that I successfully made you freak out regarding the retirement of the Caption Contest here is the news. We will be introducing a replacement for the Caption Contest this week that will be called Photographers Inc. Opposed to holding a caption writing contest based on a screenshot we will now be employing you to take the screenshot. Each contest a new theme will be announced. All submissions will then be analyzed by a panal of judges and the winner will be announced in the site update. For all of their work the winner will receive 50 reputation points!
