Evoball:
Evoball is a gametype i first made on Halo 4 in 2013, it was always intented to be fast paced. While Evoball is a Ricochet based gametype it's not a simple as that. Evoball enchances players to run faster in the Halo 2: Anniversary version (As there's no sprint, duh) and have damage immunity at the start to prevent spawn killing. "Yeah, that's Ricochet right?" No. The Evoball gametype is mainly set for these gun range soccer fields. Yes, the gametype does half the job but when a new map with the traditional copatibility to Evoball is made there's opportunity to add originiality to each and every map like map diversity and map interactivity. Interesting fact Evoball was actually Grifball based and custom called 'Thrashball'. If there's one thing Evoball as a whole can give back to the player is to improve their precision weapon aiming as Evoball is a head to head kind of custom it's mainly about who's better at attacking, so get those 4-5 shots people!
Metal Crevice:
While the map itself stays true to how i've always made Evoball maps there are a few elements in the map that give it a little spice and originality like bringing the map to the plaform levels of playing space (Only a bridge) and a awesome spawn event when any player walks out of their spawn E.M.P's whill activate blasting a radius of both red and blue on both halfs of the field. When making maps traditionally for Evoball it's aalways about adding something new and making it more flexible with the Evoball Gametype.
Other Gametype Compatibility:
For the first time ever these maps originally made for Evoball only have been given a wider rnage of playing time and replayability. Metal Crevice is exclusively compatible to not only Evoball but also works with Team Slayer, Multi Bomb Assualt and Classic CTF. To prevent the map from being very boring and plain i made it so with each gametype you play the geometry of the arena will change. If you payed close attention to the trailer you wil have noticed that the biggest change is when the map changes from Evoball to any of the three compatible gametypes. With Team Slayer, Classic CTF and Multi-Bomb Assualt the map changes very partially like adding weapons and a bit more cover for Team Slayer.
Make Your Own Evoball Map:
If you've seen my Evoball maps from Halo 4 you might have a pretty strong idea on what the map needs to make a traditional Evoball map. If this is your first time seeing these kind of maps then feel free to play the map and if you want to look deeper into it, go into Forge and investigate the Evoball maps up close to see what really makes them. If it is requested and i see it'd be great to do so i'll make a tutorial on how to make and Evoball map speculating on previous versions and how it's changed over time and how you can make you own map for the gametype.
After Match Feedback:
Opinions on Evoball has always been positive and i've always taken the rare opinions of changes that people would like to see for the better. After every match i've played showcasing Evoball to someone new, quite literally 99% of the time it's always been a pat on the back saying "That match was really fun!". Evoball is casually competitive and can be picked up by anyone, there's no "learning the ropes". Most people come out the match with a exhale of excitement and joyus feeling whether they won or lost, it's the fun of the gametype that make people play it not to win, but to have casual fun with a friendly rivalry in there.
