How To Play"
After the cinematic, and the stare of an ever so excited grunt, players will spawn right in front of the ball at the center of the map, and battle it out for first possession. Any one who dies will spawn in their standard spawn point at their teams hoop.

While you are on offense, you must protect the ball carrier, and ensure they score. Once you enter the enemies box (colored), you will notice small arrows around the outside (1 center, 2 on the corners, and 2 on the sides), these are your drive zones! Simply walk onto the white square next to the arrow and you will be launched towards the hoop, where you can slam dunk your way in for 2 points with a ground and pound, or throw it in for 3.

While you are on defense, you must protect your hoop by killing and taking the ball from the other teams carrier, and stop them scoring. As well as the drive zones, each team also has a defensive zone, marked by a stronghold decal and a white square, and directly under the hoop. If the enemy carrier uses a drive zone, use the defense zone to go up vertically, and block the shot by killing the carrier as they go towards the hoop. You can also chase down a carrier by following them up the same drive zone and killing them from behind.

Once a team scores, the ball will spawn instantly in the center again, so each team must race to get another possession.

To win on the current game type Halo NBA V5, you must simply have the most points in the 12 minute period. Overtime is also on. The winning team will see themselves in the back of the gold winners pelican at the end of the match :)

Tips & Tricks"
Below are some tips and tricks for everyone to try with their friends during the game! A lot of these actions have happened when I tested this map with my gaming community and are very useful and fun! Have you played the map and come up with a new strategy or trick? Tell me about it and I will update this section with some of the communities favorite tactics :)

At the start of the match, all players will spawn next to the center. If you win the scrap you can win the first possession and control the pace of the game, and get the first score advantage. However, you can also purposely retreat and defend to switch the momentum on your opponents.

The ball carrier has 2 thrusters, use these to outwork your opponents, and get past them easily. However, be careful not to perform repetitive movements, as defensive players can stop you easily to!

Is the other team stopping you scoring by sitting on the hoop? Perform a ground pound on the hoo and destroy everyone in your way! The damage, speed and knock back of the ground and pound is much greater in this game mode.

The Relentless hit and run tactic is by far the best offensive tactic in this game mode: The ball will always spawn in the center of the map. Having someone always watching the center while the rest of the team scores on offense will create an offensive flow. With this tactic, your team can score, and instantly gain possession again, and unless the other team stops you, this tactic can over power your enemies with ease, and lead to an easy win.

The wall of Aegis is a defensive tactic that can crush your enemies (Coming to the custom playbooks very soon).

Swords are much more effective against the ball carrier than the hammer. Use swords when chasing down or trying to kill the carrier for more success.

If your opponents are out powering you, but miss a shot, a quick way to stop their momentum is to throw the ball, or smash the ball out of bounds. There is no shield behind the hoops! Doing this can make the enemies retreat, or if you manage to break free, you ca take the ball and make the other team retreat.

Use the big open space to your advantage, it makes passes a lot easier to complete!

Is the other team guarding their hoop well and stopping you from throwing the ball in? Try a thruster shot! As you go up the drive zone, thruster backwards away from the enemy, and throw the ball slightly higher at the hoop. If you master this shot, you have a great way of attacking, that can also stop enemies lunging at you and killing you! This shot can also be done sideways, or even forward if you are being chased down!

Volleyball can pay off in basketball! Sick of enemies scoring off throws? Wait on the hoop, and when the enemy throws the ball, simply pick up the shot in mid air and yoink their precious points away from them! It's a lot easier than you think!

It's always better to hunt the carrier down in twos!

In this section I will cover some of the glitches that can occur, personal notes and some changes I make or will make.

Players used to sit on the backboard, so I put a timed kill zone on them. As the kill boundaries reset the ball, this method could not be used to stop people sitting on the hoop, however, with the ground and pound adjustments, it is easy to wipe out players sat on the hoop, and people also like it as a defensive strategy.
Although it was funny at first, I stopped people being able to get into the grunt crowd by adding another kill zone. You'll have to sign their armor another day!
I am aware that teams of 5 and above will not fit into the winning golden pelican properly, but what can you? XD
Players were complaining about the gravity lifts not being visible enough, so I added arrows and decals to the outsides and insides so players where know where they are.
The grunts on the outside of the map were animated at one point, however this had to be stopped, as it caused the game to crash too much, which is why I know have grunts on top of the hoop backboards instead.
Want a change of scenery? There are also Rain & snow (in progress) variants of the map which can change the game play entirely. The Rain variant makes it hard to identify team mates, the ball and your surroundings. The Snow variant adds a multiple layered environment , which can change up the play and pace of the game.
Coming soon: There will also be a Halo NBA -Championship- Variant coming soon. This variant will make the map smaller, and instead of red and blue, the arena will be black and gold. There will also be a half court version coming soon!

Rain: Play a match in the middle of a strong storm. This variant obscures players vision, making it harder to see the ball, team mates and enemies. You will have to pay much more attention in this variant.
Championship: It's time to shine and show the world you're the best Halo NBA Team! This variant takes place on the champions arena, which is much narrower than the other variants, making it harder to dodge defenders and evade, as well as pass and make plays. This variant is also much more hectic than the other variants so you'll need quick reflexes!
