I know what your are thinking... "Omgrofluberbest****ever!" Nah kidding, but seriously. You all Should be this excited, because frankly, these are maps I worked very hard on for a very long time. Besides, I want to hype you all up as much as possible so that you can at the very least click that little download link. Ever since Halo four came out, I have been working on maps that I really wanted to show for, to excel on many things, especially the replay value of the games. I tried to get the best of every world, and if you are a flood/zombie map designer, you know as well as I do that it is a real challenge to nail everything. And when you work on more than one map (11) with this goal in mind, it sort of becomes a gamble, but I am confident that I came close.

I have three types of flood maps here. 8 Sandbox style flood, 2 Art of Defense and 1 hardcore zombie mini game that could prove to be the most intensive mini game to date.

The sandbox maps went though many iterations, especially the deals between weapons. After some outside the box thinking however, created an amazing style of how I executed the weapon placement, which I'm sure will help the re-playability a bit. Now the Sandbox style maps rewards you for a little exploration, and offers you to set up and lock down an area of the map against the zombies. This can be very fun when a number of zombies blitzkrieg their way to you. Balance was a bit tricky, but with the right amount of tweaks, I managed to nail it. Balance was definitely one of the goals to be look upon if I was to successfully sell out a re-playable game to you. I'll get into more details about the game type later.

Next is the Art of Defense maps. This game could be one of the most intense and hair raising game out of all infection maps. I know that it's a bold *** statement, but after playing it with a party, and hearing grown men scream, laugh, and yell out fun though out the entire game, I am certainly confident that I can make this claim. In this game type, the zombies spawn and come from only one direction, while you spawn with your back against the wall (base) forcing to you set up shop and prepare for wave after wave of zombies. The spin of this game, however, is the unique idea of running very low on ammo as time goes on (if you even make it that far). No weapons re-spawn, leaving you to conserve your ammo when necessary. Of course the less human players, the more plentiful of ammo there is. But rack of the invites and play with a full 16 (14 humans) and you find ammo becomes low a hell whole of a lot sooner. I tried to make these maps feel like an epic last stand bunker fight against the odds, and so I did.

Last but certainly not least is what could possibly be the fast pace and heart racing game of them all, and honestly was quite unexpected. It's a mini game called "Panic Hall" and I changed my boxers 8 times. More details about this game later on.

GAMETYPES:

Hardcore Flood:

So as I explained, this game is more about the freedom to do as you must with the tools and map you have in order to make it to the end of the round, however, this alone was not enough in my opinion. So I ended up having a little fun with the point system this time around, and created a really complex system. For some of the things you do such as killing a human as a zombie, will reward you far more points than let's say... killing a zombie. Becoming last man standing rewards you in two way. Gives you some extra perks, and boosts in your ability's such as 10% more jumping and walking, with a 4x over shield, it can really help you get those last 3 zombie kills for added score. And as a zombie, killing the last man will give you a fat bonus as well. Also something new I decided to do is personal ordnance making it possible to save your life when you need it. The left is always magnum, for that extra ammo (due to weapons never re-spawning). The top is Hardlight Shield, and the right is Promethean Vision. It was hard figuring out how to make one choice more wanting than the other all the time, but after a bit of thought, this is what I came up with.

The zombies was pretty easy to balance out, and the setting I used have been part of lots of infection games in the past. Fast running speed and a high jump height was absolutely perfect for the maps I made. And naturally this seems to balance a lot of thing out when the zombies become more agile. By default, two zombies start, but can be brought up to four on all maps presented here. Zombies do not get an amour ability (thank god) and I managed to turn off that annoying flood effect they get that hinders your visual. As for how many shots it takes to kill a zombie? Well they are one shot with 90% damage resistance, while the humans have default health and hit points. Other than all the rest of the small details, that's about it.

Art of Defense:

This game right here is in my opinion the addicting one. While the others are incredibly fun and re-playable, this one is just down right amazing. I only have two maps made for this game type, and really, the map makes the game type more than the game type it self does, if that makes any sense. As I explained, it's a last stand style flood game where you spawn at your base and prepare for slaughter. Zombies are fast, very fast. They can come from above underneath and sometimes the sides/behind. While on one hand it is super fun, the other hand is extremely challenging and demands that you work as a unit/team. Two zombies can be easy, but 3 is just an instant jump in difficulty. I have not beat it yet (Some others came close though) and I think I won't any time soon. The gold of this game is the low ammo that takes effect after time passes. In bigger party's this can be very problematic. Using the turrets (both dominion and normal) can boost your chances, but only with a team watching over you to make sure a zombie(s) does not get the drop on you. The game will normally last around 5 minutes, which is a pretty long time when you count it second for second. A person dying in the first 30 seconds can mean "round over" in just the next minute. I have had rounds that only lasted 30 seconds actually.

Fast Flood:

Even after all that exciting explanations about the other game types, I don't think those two compare too what I'm about to tell you. This Hardcore Mini game requires you to not only have a good shot, but to have control on your panic meter. No really, I'm serious. Imagine an extremely long tunnel. At one end is you, and on the other is... Well its nothing yet, because you can't see anything just yet, but zoom in with your sniper, and you will notice a thruster pack zombie closing the distance between you and him very fast. You don't know how long it will take him to reach you, but you know you don't have time to think about it. You take the shot, but miss. You take three more shots, and continue to miss. You than have to reload... BUT WHAT IS THIS? HE'S ON TOP OF YOU? SHHHHHHHHIIIIII. *Dead*. This right here, is "Panic hall". Zombies are fast, and I mean FAST. The thruster pack for some reason just sends people flying to another planet when you change the speed settings a bit. It's freaking unreal. Klutchsauce and I had this idea to take that, put it in a tunnel with snipers and see what happens. Turns out, It's a panic. Never have I heard crying screams of "HURRY THE FK UP AND RELOAD!" Haha. I Changed boxers 8 times by the way. True story.
