When Reach came out I noticed there were no maps that I immediately fell in love with.In Halo 2 it was Lock Out and then in Halo 3 it was the Pit. So I took it upon my self to make the map that not only would I love, but all those people that felt like something was missing. This is how Shut Down was born. The best way to describe Shut Down is to think of it as Halo Reach's The Pit. Just like Guardian was Halo 3's Lock Out. Even though the two maps have similarities the layout and game play differs. This provides the illusion of knowing the map, even though you might be playing on it for the first time. Since the map is symmetrical I will just show you blue side and the center.

BLUE BASE
It has two entrances from ground level and windows that look over the court yard.

INSIDE BLUE BASE
This is where Blue Team spawns and can either take a left and head towards rockets or a right and head towards sniper.

BLUE BASE ROCKET TUNNEL
Be ready for a battle for the rockets.

ROCKET SPAWN
Don't spend to long looking out the windows.

BLUE SIDE TURRET LEDGE
Control the courtyard on the turret or head back towards the shotgun room.

SHOTGUN SPAWN
Might wanna grab this before heading up towards the sniper.

THE CENTER
There is a lot to look at here, but actually its pretty simple. On the bottom level there is a tunnel that leads to a lift brings you up to the sniper ledge. The second level also has a small tunnel that has lift access. Or you could take the path around which leads to the cent er bridge. On top is the sniper ledge where, you guessed it, the sniper.

SNIPER SPAWN
You can see everything on the map, but beware everyone can also see you.

LIFT HALLWAY
Need to get to the top in a hurry take this hallway.

CENTER BRIDGE
One of the best ways to get to the sword nook.

SWORD SPAWN
I wouldn't recommend camping here, there's a window right behind you.
