silver lagoon

Silver lagoon is my first 1v1/2v2 layout I have created on reach; Silver lagoon has actually proven to be my first successful small competitive layout out of both Halo 3 and Reach due to its well ballanced layout as well as weapon options.

I love the new natural formation pieces bungie supplied us with. It gives us so much more to beautify our maps with, creating better aesthetics as well as to create islands and hill formations such as these which makes Silver lagoon a slight challenge to traverse on cause of its rough terrain

one fun way to get across is using my little rock islands I placed strategically so that you may have 6 easy access ways. 3 on each side there by making this map consistantly flowing at all times

as I mentioned above, the weapon selection is well ballanced and timed so that players are not over powered at short notice.

From my experience, it seems to me that the needle rifle can be powerful with its automatic capability but seems to be overpowered against a marksman DMR user therefore i have decided to place 2 needle rifles with 2 clips and 30sec spawn, one on each side:
red location

blue location

From that decision being made, I placed only 1 DMR with 2 clips and 30sec spawn, directly centered and across the mainland so that it can be easily accessed from both sides and whoever obtains it can use the distance to pick off the other(s).

There are snipers to be found in the towers. Each have just the main clip with 120sec spawn.

going through the center you will find two usefull weapons. One directly cenetered you will find the plasma pistol

and a little more to the red side, the needler which spawns in 60sec. and has 2 clips

last but not least, the rocket launcher. You will find this bad boy up and center of the catwalk. Unfortunately for you rocket happy users, it only has its main clip....and spawns in a whopping 180sec. So use it wisely and accurately :P

Other little things such as assault rifles and pistols, you may find the assault rifles at the base of the towers as well as the Health stations. Pistols are in the mid balcony of each tower.

grenades you will find well placed, each pair consist of 1 frag and 1 plasma.
