SB TERRAIN CONTEST: 1st PLACE

This is my very first terrain track, well at least it's mostly terrain. The track features two symmetrical waves, two terrain banked turns, a massive jump, and a fun shield door surfing turn. Pretty much every piece of bordering is ghost-merged on this track, for a neat and tidy looking border. I made this track for Edwards terrain contest, and as of now it is ranked 2nd according to the judges only to Goldman 01's Arcadia. Enjoy this mix of terrain and sky for a competitive and fun ride.

This is the first banked turn of the track, with neatly merged assistance to ensure a smooth ride.

Banked turn #2 comes right after the first one, it leads under the track to the sky part

The sky part of the track gives you a break from the terrain and makes sure you have enough speed to make the massive unassisted jump.

The jump is unassisted and has a smooth landing every time. REALLY fun with large parties racing on the first lap. (results of less speed may very)

This is the turn right after the jump. It has ghost-merged shield doors. (I was curious if it would work.) Be ready to coordinate your shield door surfing to gain an edge on your opponents.

My favorite part of the track is this inverted 180 turn with shield doors. If you hit them right you get a big boost in the race. If you miss then you'd better have airbags!

After that you go under the jump, there is a cute little hop onto the other side of the skytrack.

The approach to the finish line. Purrdy ain't it?

This last turn with a bank in on the inside, and a harder to make turn on the outside. Its strategic.

Q:What inspired your creation?
A: Edwards terrain contest. I was really uninspired halfway through, and took a long break. I finished it and posted it 10 mins before midnight on the day it was due!

Q: How long did it take you to create this track?
A: Not that long. I did most of the track in the 3 days before it was due.

Q: What aspect of the track to the longest to create?
A: The jump and sky part were the longest, but the rest of it went by pretty smoothly.
