The name is very different from the map, as this is the third version of Bleach Arena. I said I wouldn't make another version, but this is the version I made for Bungie Favorites (and it's the first bungie favorites map I've seen that incorporates an area out of the map).

So how did I get onto favorties? Well, my friend x black kn1ght is a highly regarded member of Halo 3 Wheelmen, and he offered to put one of my maps and gametypes on favorites. I'm not a member of the group, but I think I may be joining them VERY soon...

Anyway, here are the previous versions of the map (the FH posts of them).

Bleach Arena and Bleach Arena v2 can be found by these links.

The changes aren't much, but they REALLY help the gameplay. So, I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND that replace any old versions of this map and gametype with the current version. Trust me, it DOES play better than it did before.

Here are the links for the map and gametype (also on the bottom of the post), which spell out: We'll survive on this arena.

Gametype: We'll survive
Map: this arena.

The Game Plan...

Here's how the map works, for those who never played the other two versions. Humans spawn in this large arena inside several unique spawn boxes with a combination of a weapon and a piece of equipment that differs from box to box. Your goal is to survive for an entire 12 minute period without dieing. It's very difficult to last longer than 5 minutes, but it's still possible (I've done it before, twice).

The zombies start off in a wind tunnel outside of the map. They are flung out into their death after 20 seconds and respawn a white color with weakened damage resistance in the back tunnel of foundry. This makes it more fair to the humans with zombies weakened at the beginning of their spawn. Zombies revert back to their original settings after staying alive for more than 60 seconds. After 30 seconds into the game, the zombies are free to head out into the arena to confront and try to infect the humans.

Also, please note that if you are a zombie, YOU HAVE TO WAIT THE 60 SECONDS BEFORE GRABBING THE CUSTOM POWERUP OR ELSE IT WON'T WORK ON YOU. YOU CAN'T INTERFERE WITH RESPAWN TRAITS BY THE USE OF A POWERUP.

Objects on the map spawn with time, so the arena builds itself after the first 3 minutes of the game. In other words, after 3 minutes, your chances of survival will only go down as long as you lose humans to the infected.

Screenshots

In order to prevent zombies from getting out of the map, I blocked off the roof where people could land after going through the teleporter as a zombie.

Here's the order of timed-spawn scenery, taken from the post from v2, becuase I explained it SO WELL last time (lol).

60 seconds:
Note: If you look in the background of this pic, there are fence walls below the human spawn rooms. Those allow zombies to easily access caming humans. It definately solved the camping problem, along with the shield doors.
90 seconds:
120 seconds:
and another structure at 120 seconds:
150 seconds:
and the additioanl struture at 120 gets shield doors and a laser:
180 seconds...
I don't want to ruin this, but I will say that the regular custom powerup will still spawn at the 180 mark. Along with that, the high platform will be expanded.
Here's a spoiler pic for that, on the inside:
Overview:

And let's not forget the action screenshots.

This is why swords are on the map.

Hey! It's the image from up top! But it's not edited anymore and it reminds me of DBZ in a way. XP

3 against 1? I GOT THIS!!!

Zombie party in the back hallway, and I wasn't invited... ='(

That should give you some general (hopefully good) ideas on how gameplay on this map is. But you really should download it, join the 71,000+ people who already have (that number is not made up, BTW).

Again, here are the download links for those who missed them in the beginning of the post.

Gametype: We'll survive
Map: this arena.

If you have any previous versions of this map, replace the map AND gametype with this new version. The changes in forge aren't much, but it really helps gameplay for the better.

Download and comment (por favor?).
