Lunar Speedway is a banked oval track on blackout. This map is a blast with some friends or can be also used in a more competitive tournament setting. I wanted to try make a map that would be simple but also strategic in it’s nature. The interlocking on this track took all my skill and patients. I had to actually redo one of the banked turns because it didn't line up the first time. It really was a tough map to make. I love a challenge though. I always wanted to make an oval track. In the past I have seen several oval tracks, mostly on Foundry. The problem that I realized about making an oval track on Foundry is they are always to small due to the cramed nature of the map. In order for an oval to work properly for either Battle Tracks or RACETRACKS game variants, the lap time must be at least 10 seconds. I was lucky, Lunar Speedway turned out to be 10 1/2 seconds. Just enough to work when using the two official racing variants that are currnetly available. I am pretty happy with the way the map turned out. It takes some skill when racing in large groups. Please come back after you check out the track and rate and comment. Have fun and see you on the tarmac!
